  • Hi William,
I really need your help! I'm writing a dissertation for my Sports, Science, Health & Exercise degree. I want to do it on testosterone replacement therapy for men low in the hormone, and what effect it has on muscle size/strength, or even general well-being. I'm having difficulty finding studies that have already been done, to use in my dissertation. Any idea where I can find some? Thanks, Ben

      • Cognitive side effects of tamoxifen and interaction between finasteride and anastrozole

Hi, Mr. Llewellyn. I have bought several of your titles and I'm a great fan of your work. In a field largely shrouded by deceptive marketing, and unreliable, headstrong amateurs on forums, you're the one and only reliable source out there.

I have two questions for you that I haven't found answers for anywhere else. The first one is about tamoxifen. This Dutch study from 2010 on female breast cancer patients suggests that long-term tamoxifen treatment impairs verbal memory and executive functioning. In contrast, exemestane did not cause such side effects. Should this be a concern for bodybuilders who use tamoxifen during PCT? The PoWeR PCT protocol includes 45 days of 40 mg/d tamoxifen. The women in the Dutch study were on 20 mg per day, which is half the dose from the PoWeR PCT protocol. 45 days is a whole lot shorter than a year, but Iím still not reassured. Do you ever hear stories of bodybuilders who complain about these side effects? And do you have any other thoughts on this? Any input would be much appreciated, and Iím sure there are other people who lose sleep on this.

My second question is about an interaction between finasteride and AIs. This Japanese study from 1998 is about the effects of dual 5AR and aromatase inhibition. It concludes that high doses of anastrozol and finasteride in rats makes DHT go very high. Iím concerned about hair loss, and this is not good news for me. This anecdote from the Anabolic Minds gives me yet more reason to worry. Excerpt below:

If you read previous posts, formeron destroyed my friends hair and it actually ended up ruining my hair as well! This was only 2 pumps a day. I didn't get bloods but my aggression and temper was so high, I was getting mad at the smallest things and that tells me my DHT was high plus test.

The only difference was my friend was on propecia so I am thinking it made the propecia useless while on formeron. I think he went to get bloods and told me DHT was skyrocketed so I highly doubt formeron has a strong affinity to DHT inhibiting. But as I said there was a study I posted that shows propecia & AI actually increases DHT ten fold, so I really think it renders propecia useless so it makes the hair have no medication for how long you are on formeron.

In saying all this it definitely increases test. So therefore you're going to get a DHT increase while also dropping estrogen so you look and feel awesome
Have you heard anything about this? And do you know why this happens?

        • Lipoma, AAS Anxiety

          Dr Llewellyn few questions

1.I was curious about lipoma I developed them in both glutes right worse and a little in my quads...Im just curious I never payed attention to needle gauge, if I use a 25 which I have been will this prevent Lipoma? What caused Lipoma? How should one decide to use 1 or 1 and half? or gauge?

          2. In your books you don't mention much on Tren and EQ making anxiety in users who might have it? Ihear about this on the internet and I think I get the anxiety with both, could it be those cause anxiety? What other AAS might cause it?

There's a lab analysis of Stealth Juice testosterone enanthate included in Underground Anabolics. It was labeled at 200 mg/mL, but the analysis showed it had a mere 150 mg/mL. Besides that, there were no problems.

                • Hello all, I and my friends are new to this page and have a few questions we want some answers on. First off I want to say we go to the gym about 4 times a week and have had only small results. Recently after about 5-6 months of working out we decided we would look into new methods on helping us really build since are results haven't seemed to be at par with are goals. We are just all hard gainers. My questions are:

A:what is the long term effects of steriod use
B:what is the difference in hgh, steriods, and natural growth enhancers
C:what is the best way to take any of these
                  D:what is recommended

We are all three about 185-195, ages 20-23*

                  Thanks,
                  Smokeyman

                  • Hello,

I have a couple of questions in regards to TRT. I am currently 25 and had a lot of blood work done in recent months to determine my "issue". A quick little background. I have been impotent since my first sexual experience. After many years I discovered that this isn’t normal. (about 50/50 chance of it "working") and decided i should see a doctor. I lost around 55 pounds, quit drinking, quit smoking and eating properly. Fast forward to today, I have multiple test AM tests done (5 to date, ranging from 6.2 to 8.0 nmol/L). After these tests were done I was sent to a specialist for further testing (some stats are.. SHBG 12 nmol/L, SHBG 12 nmol/L, Testosterone/SHBG 0.65, Bioavailable Test 5.8). After these results were done it was determined that I had "physiologically Lower levels of sex hormone binding globulin", and no further action was taken by that doctor. I went to get a second opinion as being impotent at 25 is in my opinion unacceptable. The new doctor seemed to care about my person issues and decided to start TRT (delatestryl 200 mg/ML, 1.5ml per month, and 1 shot, but because its on short I had substitute it for Depo-Testosterone Inj 100mg/ml at 3ml per month). I had baseline testing done before my first shot, and will be repeating testing every 6 weeks for 3 visits, than once every 6 months.

Now my questions. Should I be cycling, or because this is TRT there is no need to cycle? Also, at this dosage is it necessary to have anything for estrogen levels? What kind of side effects should I be expecting at this dosage or what should I look out for? Also, at this dosage how long will it take effectively be in my system (next day, or 2-3 weeks?) And what kind of questions should I be asking my doctor for when I see him next?

Thank you for taking the time to read and maybe reply to all my questions.

If you are actively on dialysis you should not be considering any steroids. Being a "beast" means nothing when you are dead my man. You only get one kidney, you need to hold on to what you have and not add any further stress to it. Hope you get a transplant before it's too late.

No you do not cycle with true trt
You should not require any AI's with a true trt dosing
That dosing schedule/amount is going to have you feeling better for a few days to a week then crashing and rinse a repeat.
Half life of delatestryl aka testosterone E is 15 days. By day 30 3/4 of it is out of your system. Once a month causes a roller coaster of blood levels. Find a new DR or talk to him about more frequent dosing.
