  • Today, I returned to the gym

It was awesome to be back pumping in my old gym.
They have been open for a couple weeks, but, I was waiting to see Covid case numbers decline in my county/region.
It's a small , 24/7 joint and I went during "off peak" hrs.

The few patrons working out there were spaced out and using provided wipes to keep things clean.
There was 1 middle aged female doing some lunges, stiff legged deads, etc in super set fashion in 1 corner by herself.
A could young bucks were benching and only stepped in to spot, as needed.
Another older dude ( like me) was doing some cross fit rope shakes and similar exercises in that area.

I did some moderate wt cable crosses superset with hammer incline presses for 3 cycles
This was followed by 3 sets of 10 reps on the horizontal seated bench press.

For tris , I did 3 sets of 10 reps each on push downs and overhead cable pulls.
Finished up with a couple sets of crunches and 25 min cardio on the treadmill.

I'll go back for a 2nd session later tonight and hit back with some more abs and cardio work.

Hot damn, it feels f'n great just to be back in there pumping it out .
I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

I envy you, as many do I guess.

Nobody here would trade places with me, after seeing me in the gym.

Plus, the 2 trainers are back on the job. The small gyms with less patron density are ideal locations during this pandemic.

Thanks, I did. Plus, it makes me appreciate training in a well equipped, modern gym.
Makes me grateful to be able to train again.
God Bless and all the best for a quicker return to the gym for you and Rocky III

Are you the first on the MD forum, Howard?

                        Brave move going back.

The small 24/7 key fob gyms ( here in Ga)were already open for 2 weeks before I waddled back in.
I waited to see some decline in county Covid cases to guide my choice

I went to the gym tonight, first day back after 2months and 2 days. The first session is always the hardest. You have to book online for your sessions and of course wipe everything down after use.My gym you don't have to wear those stupid face masks, theres actually no science behind those anyway.Did rack pulls below the knee, tbar rows, incline dual db rows, seated cable rows and wide pulldowns.Feels good to be back in the gym.
Bodybuilding isn't about how much you can lift.
It's about how much you say you can lift.
