At the end when there were 6 cops lying on top of him I thought he was going to jump up like Arnold in Commando and there would be cop bodies flying everywhere.

This time cops get a pass for their force given Deasha's violent behavior, criminal record and antics in the past. If it was someone smart, classy and calm like Jay, Haney or Labrada being assaulted by a bunch of guys in uniform I would get angry and question their actions, but now he got in trouble once again.

I saw some of the video and the cops were hitting people coming out of the gym with batons. It looks like the cops lost the plot.

They bashed DeAsha up when he was in handcuffs. Nathan says they sprayed his face with CS gas when he was handcuffed.

I saw the video too. It was extreme to be beating gym patrons.

It sure looks like it.

I don't want to debate the pros/cons of covid shut down orders.

I doubt they had to pin him with several cops and run everyone off .
If and only if, he assaulted the cops, they had no choice. I didn't see him do that , so wtf?

The cops could have walked in, repeated the order to leave asap.
1. Then, the group of cops could have collected names or gotten the names* from the gym owner ( Nathan).
* most gyms have members swipe in or sign in.

2. Just calmly clear the gym ,site Nathan directly and they can fight it out, in court.
Then, padlock the door and return to duty.

Turns out the senior policeman calmed the guys beating Nathan down once he saw cctv cameras.

They then entered the gym ransacked the reception area, taking away the pc thinking they had taken the place where the cctv footage was being stored (wrongly)

The are trying to get Nathan on kidnap charges saying he wouldn't allow people to leave (when in fact he was stopping the police getting in)
Have you ever heard of kidnap victims being beat by police once rescued?

Anyway - Nathan says he will open again tomorrow and has 2-300 big guys coming down to defend the gym.
