Great article and love the graph at the end
I enjoy educating myself on the latest developments of "Vit S" related to bodybuilding.
It's enjoyable to just learn what's used and why with NO personal interests or desire to pass judgement .I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

Sometimes I wonder what I missed out on, but, wtf.I don't even drank booze , I'm such a boring , nerdy douchebag
Perhaps , you can relate, but I've always been fascinated by the various BB drugs and how they are used.
It's the ultimate form of the sciences meeting practical use .
I really love seeing various legal supps , roids, etc along with all the gym equipment and cool machines, etc
For me, it's like the ultimate lab for meathedz LOLI saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

The gel was horribly inefficient. Absorption rates differed greatly even on the same person from day to day. That causes uneven test levels in the system. Dr 's are now going more the injectable route. Stable test levels have less side effects. I get 200mg weekly of cyp from my Dr. I break into two shots Monday and Thursday for even more stable test levels.
Even with orals its important to know the active life of each compound. Depending on the compound I recommend dosing 2 to 3 times daily. Cutting a pill isn't difficult. I've found that another benefit of split dosing is less is needed. Anavar for example has a relatively short half life. Taken once a day the window is basically 9-12 hours depending on the person. 50mg once a day leaves half to 2/3 the day without maximum effectiveness. Three doses for 10mg spread across the day will be more active and a much longer anabolic period along with being easier to process on your system.

I'm at the age where basic health is a lot more important then bicep size .
My main personal goal is fat /wt loss and cardio fitness now.
As for hardcore bodybuilder, I'm still of fan and enjoy watching contests and top pros.Last edited by Howard; February 20, 2021, 11:46 PM.I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

Howard your basing your info off of information that's more than 12 years old. Most of the medical community has come around to injections for trt. All the sides are mentioned are caused by varying test test levels. We all see Dr 's too. The medical community has actually learned at little pharmacology. If I want bigger biceps I'll push a gram

if basic health including mental health is important then TRT is your go to nectar of the gods, is a no brainer.
just imagine, fat loss/cardio fitness AND big biceps,
if that's not a recipe for good health i don't know what is.

5 yrs ago I was fully evaluated by a board certified MD -endocrinologist with blood work and genetic profile.
No offense, but I'm sticking with his advice.I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

i notice a lot with males who are older who have a distinct inability to effectively problem solve, to process information in a appropriate time and able to communicate those thoughts in a concise written or verbal manner.
In fact they have a lot of corresponding issues such as someone who suffers with a brain injury but will pass as physically well according to their drug work and genetic profile.
no offense meant, just something to think about.

Your posts are thoughtful and I enjoy the interaction. Thanks.
I'm no Einstein , but my job was teaching how to solve physics problems .
I enjoy being a relaxed fan of various sports and don't feel the need to compete myself.
This is a wonderful period for me now and I have few demands on my time.
I've never felt more happy and content.
Thanks again and happy pumping.Last edited by Howard; February 20, 2021, 11:44 PM.I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED

God has not graced me with children and for a period of my life i was unworthy to be a father but there is enough children in the world without a father that i can assist and encourage and show a path for them, as Jordan Peterson put its so eloquently '' i try to be a light rather than a blight''
I have trained form a early age throughout my life and it has served me very well, i trained for approx 35 yrs without any vit s, i was addicted to my training and i knew that if i used i would probably end up addicted it and i have always hated the thought of having that monkey on my back that would control me.
Also seeing Lee Priest at a early age really illustrated to me the importance of genetics, he was 18 and winning Mr Australia and when you saw him in the gym it just blew your back! I never had those physical genetics but i did have the mental genetics of perseverance, fortitude and commitment.
As you point out you have never been more happy or contented, that is a life well lived, congratulations. All the best and i look forward to further conversations.
John.

Thanks for sharing your background and we do have some similar life experiences: ( no kids, military service, study a science , love of BB, etc) .
Since I was nothing great in contest BB, it was easy for me to candid about any drug or HRT use.
Unlike you , I gave in and tried some "Vit S" during my mid 20's for few years.
I stopped using for the same reasons you had ,for NOT ever starting .
When I competed ( again) in the 1990's, I'd begun my profession and considered bodybuilding a fun hobby.
Like you I was hooked on training , admired top pros BUT wanted to compete on my own terms.
For me, using drugs or site injections, etc was like wearing a bench shirt in a bench press contest.
You can lift more and have better shot to win with the shirt, but, you know it really wasn't "all you".
I figured if others wanted to take things to win, that was their business.
I got a great deal of personal satisfaction from competing "my way" .
Plus, being a real part of the contest was a meaningful , memorable experience.
In the end, my values and enjoying the experience we're more important then my final place.
Now as a fan, seeing a great contest is more important then having my favorite pro win.
Question: Not that it matters John, but I was curious if you ever competed in a BB contest?
I saw a star, reached for it...and MISSED
