Makes sense . I'm a tad ignorant on any "common language issue" of these northern countries on the other side of the Atlantic ( from USA).

Funny story of when I was stationed for a year in Okinawa ( Japan).
A fellow jarhead complained that a local cab driver was pronouncing his Japanese wrong.

I laughed and asked him ; " Ok, how much Japanese do you speak?"

He replied ; " Barely a word , why?"

Me ; " He's from here and Japanese is his native language."

Him ; " Ok, so what's your point?"

Me ; "Maybe he's saying it RIGHT and you my ignorant friend , are clueless."

In Spain, Romania, Italy ... in all the shows in southern Europe the presenter uses English as the official language.

Scandanavian countries can usually speak English better than English people. I'd imagine it might be in English
