I believe it's called a CPT code. I think it's 19100 or 19101. Just want to double check.
WARNING: I'm probably not going to be nice in my responses. This is just for role playing entertainment and fictional.

no I dont. After I went to see the doc(at the breast facility), she did a sonogram(sp?) to prove I had an actual "mass" in my chest and not just fat. After I left they called my insurance company for me. After talking to them they called me and said that it would be covered.

My recommendation to everyone who wants to get it covered. 1) go to your general doctor and GET A REFERRAL to a breast specialist(but not cosmetic surgeon) 2) Once you see the specialist. tell you surgeon it hurts, liquid comes out of it, and it is depressing. Tell them you have had it since you were 17 and it has never gone away. You have no clue where it came from. Tell them you have been researching it and thought the only way to get rid of it was to cough up 7,000 and you cant afford that. Lastly, say you found out that if you label it a bi-lateral breast mass biopsy most insurance plans would cover it.

after you leave your docs office should call your insurance company and then call you back and let you know the result.

      Good Luck

Damn. I've had gyno since puberty. Can't they check to see if it's leaky?

I had a friend that worked for FedEx that had gyno that hurt. He went to the doctor for the pain and the doctor said he will remove it and insurance will pay for it because it "affects his job, he can't pick up boxes against his chest because of the pain." The doctor came up with this story...LOL If one doc says no then he's probably not comfortable doing the srugery. Find an experienced one that is cool. Even if I had a doc that would do it but he was an asshole I would still go somewhere else.

there is no reason you cant see a plastic surgeon. most plastics docs have a rough percentage of reconstructive versus cometic.
