    Damn.
    This is a tough one.
I am going to have to go with Zane, based on overall symmetry.

I'll take Nubret. I can't put my finger on it exactly. By today's standards his back and legs are too small but viewed from the front he has no equal IMO. His chest is the best ever , with Arnold and Haney close behind. Shoulders and arms fit right in perfectly as well. It's what I'd call as near to perfect as you can get and it's what I'd want to look like. As far as a modern bodybuilder I like Vince Taylor. More complete than Serge but Serge still gets the nod from me. Arnold in 1973 and 1974 are damn close as well. His legs were not weak then.

I had to go with Lee Labrada simply because I think he has the best flowing lines ever and was really on top of his game in the 80's

+1 for Serge Nubret. Tiny waist, huge chest. His back defines his front perfectly. Tris and Bis are huge, perfect size for shoulders.

Serge was great but his legs were average at best. Upper body wise he wins but like Arnold his body was not in proportion.

Oliva had some big legs for back in the day and it balanced his upper and lower bodies out more than Arnold and others during that time period...

Serge has that Davidic look about him though close call but I'd take Oliva

It's the reason he never won the Mr Olympia. His quads were ok, hamstrings terrible and he had tiny twig like calves.

Im going with Oliva. I couldnt find the photo, but from the nautilus pull over advertisements, the upper position, with his huge lats and tiny waist, that won me over. And with great quads, I really think he had the best proportions ever.
