  • September 20th in mind

So yeah, I decided to keep a training log. Got a show coming up September 20th, so long as everything in my personal life goes well. The lawyer is guaranteeing it won't be a problem, though.
I write down all my workouts, but it's usually just on a scrap of paper that gets thrown into my gym bag. So I figured I'll just start transposing them here.

    Monday, July 21st.
    FRONT SQUATS
    135x10, 225x10, 315x6
    BACK SQUATS
    315x10, 405x10, 495x8,7
    STIFF-LEG DEADS
    225x10, 315x10, 405x10,8,10

No wraps on squats last night. Fucking sucked. Forgot how much those friggin' things help.

Christ, I forgot I had a log here.

    OVERHEAD PRESS
    135x10, 185x10, 225x5, 275x5, 315x3
At this point I decided I was going to lower the weight to 255, the same as my comp coming up. A barbell is much different than a log, but whatever. So I decided to try jerking the weight instead of straight pressing it. Well, it was ugly and on the second rep the bar flew out of my hands. Think I'll stick with pressing.
    BENCH PRESS (flat)
    135x10, 225x10, 315x5, 365x5, 365x5, 405x3
Benches felt like shit. Think I'm going to switch them out for something else. Maybe. We'll see.
    DIPS
    bwx20, 45x15, 90x10, 90x12
The hundred pound plates were gone today. Owner must be hard up for cash and ebay-ed the fuckers.

Bodyweight was 343. Want to be down to around 310 for the comp.

Went to the gym early (for me) today. I blame my shitty performance on that.

      SUITCASE DEADLIFTS (one arm)
Only the second time I've ever tried these. Not going to go into detail with weights because it was garbage. Worked up to 225. Still had plenty of strength, but couldn't balance to save my life.

      BENT ROWS
      135x10, 225x10, 315x10, 365x8, 8, 7

      PULLDOWNS
      1/2 stack x 10, stack x 10, 10

      PULL-UPS
      bw x 6,6,6

DUMBBELL HAMMER CURLS (seated and strict)
40x10, 60x10, 80x10, 100x12 (don't ask me how that happened...Lord Ezec came on the iPod and it just happened)
