  • Now it's my turn....




    It starts today. I am going to put up my training here. Looking forward to April 17th...Europa Show of Champions right in my freaking backyard. I am doing the strongman competition and going for my procard in the lightweight (105kg/231lb) division.

    Sit down, hold on, and enjoy the ride....

    Here are the events for the comp....

    Log press 12" log 275lbs clean once and press for reps.

    Yoke and block carry 750lb yoke 80' 2 blocks 250, 275lbs carry 40' and place on a 48" platform

    Deadlift medley 700lb frame 4 reps, 550lb axle 3 reps, 650lb bar 2 reps

    Farmers walk 150' w/ turns @ 75' 320lbs each hand

    Atlas Stones 60" 60" 54" 54" 54" platforms 260, 300, 330, 360, 380lb stones

          looking forward to cheering you on, along with GX and GM... but is it April 17th (Friday) or the 18th (Saturday) or will your events be over the two days?

                  today...

                  push press 225x2 4sets 225x1--went for 2 but there was nothing. even reracked and tried but no gas.

                  cable front and side raises w/ rope handle
                  30x8 6sets---felt good

                  cable upright rows w/ rope handle
                  60x15 8sets

                  machine press
                  100x70--did these rest paused

                  went for 45 minutes on the treadmill 5%incline 3mph
                  also walked the dog 50 minutes total today
                  my strongman training

                    Great training today! When you lift are you equating what you're doing to specific events? Just curious, since that's how my plyos work.

                      nice training... funny as I was coming home from the gym today, even after an hour of cardio plus weights. and thought it would be nice to be out walking a dog..

                        yeah the push press is compared to the log press.
                        my gym days consist of deadlifts and overhead work. event days are stones, farmers walk, yoke, and carries.

                        i should also put that i am doing a % of the lift in the comp. today was 80%

                          haha..the lake is packed. suns down and its still 73

                            I would love to try some of those events. I bet they're not compatible with 5' 2" 113lb midgets though. Really looks like a lot of fun while you're busting @$$ though! I enjoyed watching part of that competition that was on TV yesterday, so I hope yours is televised!
