  • 2019 world's strongest man contest.

This years event was held in Bradenton, Fla. It was won by Martins Licis from the US. Mateusz Kieliszkowski from Poland was 2nd. Hafthor Bjornsson from Iceland was 3rd. Brian Shaw from the US was 6th. Last years winner Hafthor Bjornsson suffered a torn plantar fascia during the farmers walk.
The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your feet. It connects the heel bone to your toes. 4 other competitors suffered injuries and had to withdraw.
Bjornsson at 6' 9" is now up to 440 lbs.
1700 years ago, supermen walked on earth. They called themselves Goths.
