  • I have a shitty max bench, and an "alright" squat, but my max dead is 700 as of last week.

        I wish !! Nah, it was just around 400 but using 35's instead of the regular 45's. I was wanting to make it a little harder by increasing the ROM (bar lower to the ground). Pulled that comfortably, so have my sights on 425 for the meet, which will be a record for my weight class if I can get it

        Looking forward to see what you can hit in your meet mate, mine is on the same day.

        • That man.... That looked easy, 425 should be an easy lift for you. The bar you used is very stiff, the meet bar should have alot more flex to it makin it much easyer!

          I hope i get it. The record in the class is 700... So I'm gonna try to chip it or go over it. I make my numbers on the fly, the openner is set but the other 2 are up in the air.

          When I pulled the 675 I made alot of reps to get there...after warm-up I started at 500 everything after that was a single. 550,600,650,675 then I tryed the 7.... Lol,that's alot of reps for me.

                  As for all drug.... You know I use very little. Either way it don't matter, they don't test so I'm not doin anything I shouldn't. So I still don't see your point.

                          178lbs @ 5'9 24 y/o.

                          Been doing the "bodybuilding" 8-12 rep range forever and finally incorporating more powerlifting because bodybuilding workouts are boring. Im trying to take my training to the next level incorporating wave loads, rest days, percentages, etc. I was fuckin' psyched doing a max. Now I wanna smash that and get more! Addicted.

                          And what do ya know, heavy heavy lifts are helping my overall size increase as well.

                            pullin and tryin to get better. But be sure to listen to your body, it now really needed to DL every wk. I
                            do it every 3-4 months just to see where
                            it's at. My back will not let me DL more then once a month. It goes up everytime I pull but can't to it
