  • Female Endocrinology 101

Hello. I am Sistersteel. I will be sharing some of my personal write-ups on the subject of female anabolics and addressing any concerns our female members might have regarding these matters. I have had the privilege of working with many women from all walks of life throughout the course of the years, invested much time in the study of female performance/physique enhancement and have made ample use of every opportunity made available to me to share in the knowledge. I am a bodybuilder myself, but what I am not is medical practitioner of any kind, therefore please note that I do not hold a degree in female endocrinology nor am I an expert in female pharmacology. I am not qualified to give any medical advice nor make any medical recommendations without consulting with a licensed physician. So please consider my posts a more thorough and in depth analysis of female chemical enhancement based entirely on a subjective approach. Given the appropriate circumstances, the right compounds, in the right dosages, with all precautionary measures in place, and for the right reasons, women can indeed cycle safely and effectively without ever having to subject themselves to the hazards of uninformed drug use and irreversible side effects. See the key to comprehending the mechanism of anabolic steroids in the female body starts with a basic understanding of the female endocrine system and its responses to external stimuli that alter the homeostatic environment. This harmonious interaction between the nervous system and the hormonal system ensures the efficiency of transmission between all the major components essential to the responses of any organism to internal and external factors. The nervous system transmits information between the various parts of the anatomy, whereas the hormonal system signals the secretion of hormones from various glands via the bloodstream. The human body is a magnificent machine designed to operate with the utmost precision and efficiency. Perfection in the making and a work of art in its essence. That's my Introduction. Simple stupid.

    More to come.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Mike. Ok, so where were we...Hormones! Yes. For starters, let us take a look at the definition of a hormone to put things in proper perspective. A hormone is a chemical substance produced by an endocrine gland that has a specific effect on the activities of other organs in the body. The primary female and male hormones are classified as either estrogens or androgens with both classes being present in both genders, only in vastly different amounts. Estrogens produced primarily by a female's ovaries stimulate the development of secondary sex characteristics such as breast development, pubic hair growth and the menstrual cycle...etc Bare in mind that the female reproductive system is highly complex and several hormones, organs and glands must function harmoniously in order for everything to work just right. If you have a basic understanding of the female reproductive system and the effects of hormonal fluctuations that take place throughout the course of a woman's lifespan, it becomes relatively easier to manipulate these factors in order to produce the results sought by most female athletes, fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders. Such manipulations can range from a complete sex change, where the hormonal profile is dramatically altered, to basically breaking through "plateaus" that would have otherwise been genetically impossible for an "unaltered", healthy biological woman.

I am presenting arguments and trying to make this write up as comprehensive as possible as we go so that this thread does not deter anyone from actually doing too much random reading. I understand everyone wants to get to the point, but we've implemented that approach on numerous occasions in the past only to have the sport go to hell in a handbasket. Feel free to express thoughts and ask questions as this discussion unfolds.

Next, I will go through the stages in female hormonal development and provide you with a brief description of this progression and its effects on the female anatomy. Thank you for your patience, as this can get time consuming.

The vital role that hormones play in the human body starts in the uterus. It is a common misconception to think that hormones only come into play at puberty. Believe it or not both girls and boys are born with slightly overdeveloped breasts because of the flood of oestrogen that passes through the placenta to the fetus. Now granted the enlargement does eventually subside in boys, it might linger around a little longer in girls due to their own hormonal makeup. However, it might take years sometimes before the hormonal fluctuations level out to where there is a noticebale decrease in enlarged breast tissue in makes. So grab a bra boys. lol

        Have a great weekend!

I think those doses are good. I think you'd be surprised how many women use tren ace. The sides aren't really dramatic though I'd like to hear input from SS, heavyiron or Mike about the system impact of it - liver, cholesterol, etc.

Prop has the potential to be slightly water retaining because it does convert, but it is very short acting so nothign really dramatic. If you were running this for competition I'd be sure to drop the prop far enough out to reduce its impact on water manipulation. The absolute latest I'd run an injectible to show date is 10-14 days out. Based on what impact prop has you might drop it earlier than that. Do you plan to dial in w/ any proviron or nolva? Maybe even an AI (aromasin?) w/ the prop?

            Tren is a good cutter.

I wish there was a way we would could stay organized and place posts and all drug dose inquiries in the appropriate threads. I was hoping to reserve this thread for educational purposes and questions regarding the female endocrine system. Drug inquires might get lost in here. I suggest we rename the Q & A thread to read: Drug talk with Sassy.
Just a thought. n time if we do not remain organized, this will end up a clusterfuck from hell and no one is going to want to bother with it.

This should be in women's section period. Having it as a sub-forum in chemical enhancement is stupid and nobody will see it. I am only aware of this section from hitting new posts.

I thought having this forum was a great idea. Give it a little time and it will be one of the most informative spots to hit on the web for sound female anabolic advice.

The idea is fine but the location sucks. Start a new forum under the 5 girly sections instead of hiding it. Honestly who the hell notices the tiny sub-forums.

I agree with you. But it was nice of the mods to offer to give us this subforum than nothing at all. I will tell you this though, the chem E section gets more traffic than all sections of the women's forum combined. So I do believe it will get notced far more here than it ever would in the girly section.

Couple ways to approach - make the info threads stickies, easy to rename my thread just plain old "Questions Thread" or something, and let the rest of the forum be open for individual posts. One thing about having a multi-mega page thread is that no one will bother reading it because it's too many pages, whereas its easier to search and just simply scan the titles of individual threads.

Might be very useful to also have a sticky of "The Basics" so people don't ask the same question (e.g. how much anavar should my girlfriend use?) over & over & over.

Sassy, are you saying you are annoyed by people who expect you to answer the same questions you've answered a million times??? HOW COULD YOU! lol

Sassy has the patience of Jesus.

so I have a question...hope this is not posted in the wrong forum but here goes.
I just turned 24, had my tubes tied when I was 20, just recently found out that by having my tubes tied I have created a progesterone deficiency in my body. I found out as I was trying to prep for my first competition back in January and started experiencing major scalp hair loss, weight gain despite the meticulous dieting, and hypothyroid symptoms. Mind you I have never used AAS. I am now using natural progesterone cream throughout my cycle to fix the progesterone problem. I have naturally low estrogen because the tubes being tied created both low estrogen and progesterone..and my testosterone is within normal range for my age. Have had everything checked several times over the past year.

Not trying to write a book, but can you answer how taking a progesterone supplement would interfere with using AAS. I would like to run a low dose anavar(like 2.5 or 5ed) when i use t3 in the future to prevent too much muscle catabolism. I have ran t3 in the past and successfully lost some weight but I also softened up and want to prevent that the next time around. I have used clen and am considering that, but from what Ive read I dont think that clen is enough to prevent losing too much muscle while using t3, some have told me clen is not anabolic and others have said it is. I dont mind using the clen but I didnt like my workouts when I was on clen, I was too jittery or lightheaded feeling to get a good workout in, and the max Ive taken is 80mcg, so I wasnt dosing too high.
