  • Predictions for Nationals...lets hear what everyone thinks!

    The class to watch is the heavyweights....who wins Liberatore, Alvisi or Lockett?....what are your opinions forum?.....my prediction is Alvisi 1st & overall...Liberatore 2nd and Lockett 3rd.....heres my thinking....Lockett will lose something sucking down 10 lbs plus he had imbalances that will not correct themselves by losing 10 lbs of muscle....still freaky enough to beat everyone except Liberatore n Alvisi....as great as Liberatore is ive never seen a bber take either 1st or 2nd in 3 national shows in the same year...has anyone?...reason it doesnt happen much if at all is that its very very hard to "peak" more than twice a year.....Alvisi has only peaked once since his Arnold Classic victory where he beat Liberatore 18 months ago (this yrs USA)...plus Mark will be 10 lbs bigger with the SAME condition as USA....thats ALOT of quality muscle to add to a shapely frame...because of that, the classic shape, one of the best vacuums in the sport I am going with Alvisi to gain ground on Liberatore in their back n forth battle........in the middleweights barring a freak showing up nobody is counting on Guy C looks awesome at 2 weeks out and as long as he maintains his muscle and doesnt drop any lower than his current body wt of high 170's then hell be tough tobeat...ready to go now at less than 2 weeks out all he has to do is hold his weight up n hell be a very tough out and is heading for the pro card hes been waiting for since his 2nd place finish last year......in lightheavywt id say Peter Putnam but havent seen him so i donno....Supers are up in the air to me....what do you think forum?.....whos going to the show?.....ill be there nice n fat eating whatever i want and taking up two seats lol watching all the ripped chicken eating guys battle it out.....should be a good show.....my prediction for the overall....remember you heard it here first....ALVISI!

    I think this thread has been done already, but what the heck.

    Supers = Nunn
    Heavy = Alvisi
    Lt. Hvy = I was gonna go with Putnam but that Brad Davis looks sick! Too hard to call
    Middle = Nathan DeTracy if he competes, otherwise Guy Cis.

    Of course as always, you never know who's gonna show up or what shape they are gonna be in!!!

          I heard that Lockett will be in the super heavies!! which is preaty crazy..but I think the super heavies will be between Nunn and Lockett...and look out for Drew Jemmot to crack that top 5 in the supers...I agree that the HWT is between Liberatore and Alvisi and its going to be very very close but I have Michael Liberatore winning that...In the Light Heavy it should be a close one between Putnam and Turrel with Putnam winning the class and Middleweights has to go to Guy Cisternino.. I saw the guy guest pose at the Jersey and he look insane.... I have Liberatore winning the whole thing!! It should be a great show

          Supers

          1. Michael Lockett
          2. Ed Nunn
          3. Trey Brewer
          4. Drew Jemmot

          Heavy
          1. Liberatore
          2. Alvisi

          Light Heavy

          1. Putnam
          2. Terrell

          Middleweight

          1. Guy Cisternino

                I hope Michael Liberatore takes the overall but it wont be easy even getting out of the heavies.I think he will beat Alvisi due to the fact that he has never came in that big while Liberatore has shown that he can be in top condition as a heavy.Lockett is definetly the dark horse because we really have no idea what he looks like.
                In the super heavies Ed Nunn should be able to win as long as he peaks at the right time.Sean Allen could be a threat but Nunn should be able to get it done.
                In the Light Heavies Putnam will get the nodd as long as he comes in improved an in condition.Davis does look nasty though.
                I am not really sure about the other divisions but hopefully Guy wins the middle weight.
                PS.Good Luck to all competitors and I hope you all of your hard work pays off. Each and everyone of you is an inspiration to me especially the guys who post on here daily.

                      I agree, don't really think that Nunn will be at his best for this show. He really gave his all at the USA and won his class. I think he will try to make some last minute changes and give up condition for more size. On the other hand I think Lockett is going down to heavies. I hear that Steve Frazier has made some great improvements and will be ripped to the bone and bigger than ever. ALvisi vs Liberatore, only time will tell. In the Lt-Heavy I also will say Chulsey Graham and Darrell Terrell. I think that Putnam has been in a comfort zone for the last year thinking and believing that the judges are going to give it to him this year. Don't think he is as hungry as Chulsey and Darrell and if Putnam comes in at 190 lbs or under he is surely going to get totally out massed. Only time will tell!

                          Someone should start a thread with the most recent pics of the guys competing in what we consider the top three of each class. I would do it, but I don't know where the pics are and how to get em. I haven't even seen Guy. Is there a link to a thread that I don't know about?
