best part of the whole thing was when Kai said "Thank you sir". Showed his respect for Dorian completely. I am not going to comment on the rest of the video except say that I have been training the way Dorian does, not the same weight, but with the same form as him on deadlifts and bent over rows. I will also start the 3 step lifts again that I was taught years ago but it had slipped my mind as of the last year.

    Awesome stuff.

Kai should just quit bodybuilding after that video, go back to his gay porn business, and go fuck another grapefruit

I read a lot of stuff by Arthur Jones [Nautilus inventor], and Mentzer was in the magazines at the time. Through trial and error I noticed that if I went over a certain amount of volume in the gym, my progress would come to a stop. I'd become over trained. I was always training with a lot of volume, high intensity, along those lines.
I met Mike Mentzer after I won my first Olympia in '92. I was at Gold's Gym in Venice doing photo shoots and met Mike. Of course he was someone I'd admired when I started training, and we were talking about training principles and so on. He had a personal training business and felt that when he was still competing he still over trained, even though he was doing a lot less than everybody else. He felt it was possible to do even less, in terms of volume, and get even better results.
So yes, I did a few workouts with Mike and we exchanged ideas. He did have some input in my training at that time. I tried to reduce the volume a little bit more, but it was a minor adjustment because I was already training like that. So it's not correct to say Mike trained me. We did maybe three workouts together in Gold's Gym.

I believe he was only a week or so away, so he was dieting and feeling like shit. He said that Mike took him through a HIT session. Dorian at the time was doing 2 or 3 working sets instead of his one. Even though Dorian based his career off Mentzer's system, he particularly didn't like training with Mentzer. They went through the workout together and Dorian said he didn't have much to say to Mike until the end. The only thing he said when Mike asked what he thought, "I got an ok pump." Then he left. The next morning Dorian called Mike in disbelief and told Mike his damn arms gained a half inch over night and that was the first time he'd been sore in years.

So even though Dorian wasn't thrilled by being trained by Mike at the time, he loved it later and went back home and completely changed up his training, along with using only one set. Who know's maybe Kai will call DY after the Arnold, we know Oscar will, lol.
dorian always did '1' working set per excercise, before he trained with mentzer. what really happened was dorian told him the next day his arms felt bigger, he never measured them or anything.
and the reason he was sore was because mentzer showed him rest-pause and because he had never done it before he felt sore the next day from it.

Seems compleetly the opposite of the mainstream....... Also, I guess, nowdays, more juice makes up for the lack of everything else......
dorian only trained a couple times with mentzer and all he took from him was to do less volume THATS IT

He had a bodybuilder approach him once, and asked his advice on how he could get his arms bigger. The first thing Jones said was to take a few days off of training completely. Then come and see him. A few days later the bodybuilder came back, untrained with an inch added to his arms. He told him, all you needed to do was recover. Arthur Jones was also the inventor of the Nautilus Pullover machine Dorian made famous. He was actually the first guy to really start building machines for bodybuilding. He revolutionized the sport, but so few people know about him.
mentzer and jones talked so much shit, it amazes me that people still beleive what they used to say

Thats bullshit how he is behaving this could have been one of the best videos ever but Kai had to act like a 5 year old. Now do i not only dislike Kai but feel he is an ungrateful person.

Put EVAN with Dorian or VICTOR or BRANCH or JAY. That would have been better then seeing Kai piss and moan and act like hes 5. This could have been Epic but It was actually better seeing Oscar who took interest in the workout then seeing Kai.
