2011 NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championship

May 21, 2011 - North Charleston Performing Arts Center
 - North Charleston, SC

At last year’s NPC Jr. USA we witnessed the contest held in Houston, Texas where Contest Promoter, Tres Bennett teamed up with NPC State District Chairman, Lee Thompson. This year, Tres has brought the contest back home to South Carolina and is it shaping up to be his biggest and best production to date!

The NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championship has brought the world's attention to great athletes with the likes of past winners Art Atwood, Guy Cisternino, Cedric McMillan, Adam Lyons, Malcolm Marshall, Charles Dixon, Johnny Jackson. Quincy Taylor, Fred Bigot and more recently Darron Glenn! The females have seen their share of great physique winners as well like Shelsea Montes, Stacey Oster, Tara Scotti and Vanessa Preybl to name a few.

This year’s shjow will offer up 9 IFBB Pro Cards:
2 Figure - 2 Bikini - 1 Fitness and 2 each in the brand new Men & Women’s *Physique Divisions.

What is physique all about? This is where you are going to find out!

This year marks the debut of the new “Men & Women’s Physique Division” where we will see what appears to be a combination of Bodybuilding, Physique & Figure. The judges are looking for something somewhere in the middle to create a new class of Physique competitors that will ultimately wind up on the Olympia Stage!

TEAM MD will be on hand for “Exclusive Contest Coverage” with IFBB Pro and Past Jr USA Winner, Cedric McMillan (scheduled) & Shawn Ray!

              #1 - Paula Williams-Gulman

Nicole: She's clean, but she needs a little bit more energy. She's kinda slow.
Sho: Yeah, I agree. Nothing real innovative or entertaining here.
Nicole: She's animated, which is good!

              #2 -

              Sho: This one looks young.
Nicole: Costume malfunction and she got off her counts.
Sho: We don't know if she'll get a second chance?

              #3 -

Sho: She has a pink feather tail on. Cute girl. Very animated. Started off with lots of gymnastics.
              Nicole: Good gymnastics skills.
Sho: I dunno what happened there, but she got stuck on the stage, just standing there. She's kinda all over the place now...
Nicole: She's got lots of talent. Great skills. She just needs to interact with the crowd a little bit more.

                Back to #2 -

Sho: Here we go again, for round two.
Nicole: She has a cheerleading background.
Sho: Yeah, she looks like a cheerleader- straight outta highschool cheerleading. Cute girl!
Nicole: She's cute. She just needs to polish her mandatories.
Sho: More work on her strength would help with that, and flexibility. You can tell she is right out of highschool cheerleading.

                #4 - Lisha Dean

Sho: This chick has been going for her pro card for a while now.
                Nicole: Very entertaining .
Sho: I was never really in to her ghetto-side hat deal.
Nicole: She used to be one of Jen Hendershott's right hand girls, but recently moved to NY.
Sho: Trying to take some music from you, Nicole.
Nicole: She is definitely entertaining and fun to watch. Solid routine. She should place well.

                #6 -

Nicole: This girl looks like a gymnast right off the bat. Oops! Wrong music.
Sho: Cowboy outift, complete with lasso. Whoa, whipping that thing around!
Nicole: I dunno, Alishia has some competition. This girl knows how to work the crowd.
Sho: She has a ton of energy, that's for sure! Nice holds to on her mandatories. She's good. Pretty clean so far.
Nicole: Very clean. She needs to work on her dance skills, though. She needs to loosen up. I like the hat and whip. I just wish she had done more with it.

                #7 -

Nicole: Kill Bill is one of my favorite movies!
                Sho: Ninja warrior.
Nicole: Nice and clean moves right off the bat. I like this girl.
Sho: She's definitely taking a different approach -a lot of big, smooth jumps.
Nicole: She's got a nice mix of gymnastics and dance. Her long legs are pretty, so she floats across the stage.
Sho: Lots of ballerina-type moves. You don't see that much ont the fitness stage. I like it!
Nicole: I liked her a lot. She was really good.
                Sho: Me too.

                #7 -

                Nicole: Kill Bill #2!
Sho: Yellow outfit. Some of those kicks were kinda wacky.
Nicole: Great flexibility, and she's got some good full-strength moves.
Sho: Lo. She will lose it in the physique round, though.
Nicole: She is lacking showmanship and needs to be a lot cleaner.

                  Last two girls,

                  #8 -

Nicole - she had a strip show opening with too many clothes on.

Sho - started with a full men's oversized suit. Ended up wearing a black outfit with an army hat

Nicole - her routine is a bit slow, and theme is all over the place. Some great moments though. Nice pushup sequences and shes got some interesting strength moves.

                  #9 -

Sho - she looks like a tourist, beetlejuice song to start

Nicole - Jamaican theme, Beetlejuice. Wow, nice clean opening with a ton of tumbling.

                  Sho - wow nice tumbling!

                  Nicole - sweet dance moves,

Sho - look out, it's the next Nicole Duncan!

Nicole - a bit cocky, but has great strength moves and is very entertaining

Sho - yeah I like this girl, she's got some fun attitude on stage

Nicole - needs a better mix of music though, some questionable lyrics
