Default Layne Norton : Question hydro whey vs. free form BCAA

What is the difference between hydrolyzed whey and free form BCAAs? In one of your articles you state that BCAAs(free form) are more potent and hit the blood stream faster than whey protein. What about hydrolyzed whey, though? Isn't it broken down into simplest form of di and tri peptides?

Seeing as the hydro would have the same speed at which it enters the blood stream as BCAAs (im assuming) wouldnt a full amino profile be more effective than BCAAs?

Also, what is the difference between free form and micronized amino's?

Agreed. He specializes in this area so we are lucky to be able to ask an expert on the subject. I believe one of the differences he mentioned with BCAA vs. whey was the elevation of plasma amino's as well as signaling, but that was regular whey not hydro. Hopefully he will go in depth on this for us.

    layne posts here.....NICE.

I'm guessing amino's cause such a rapid rise that it's almost comparable to 'supraphysiological' standard. BCAA's only trigger protein synthesis, but the raw materials must be present to complete the process.

I think that's why layne recommended taking BCAA's in between meal to maintain optimal protein synthesis, but at the same time there's still energy substrates from your last meal to complete the process.

as for micronized vs. full amino's i don't know.

    Sarcasm, i smell sarcasm.

in all honesty, food is food. I don't waste my money on anything unnecessary. Just the basics.

    Protien powder (Convenience)
    Creatine
    Beta-alanine
    vitamin/mineral
Fish oil (although i stopped that shit, i think the whole thing is a sham, just eat fatty fish once a week and you should be fine)

Save the money where it counts. AAS and if you got the loot GH.

Maybe not me, but 'tooStupid4u' is in fact dying for Layne to solve his problem of looking like a pubescent ballerina in the making.

i'm not aware of the responses directly compared but I would imagine they are similar, but I think the main point is you can get more leucine per dollar spent in BCAA compared to hydro whey so more anabolic bang per buck so to speak
