I had a customer that came into the shop today that told me he lifted insanely heavy weights for 2 hours each day. I asked him how many rest days he has, "I train 7 days every week." He couldn't understand why his muscle gains had slowed down and he was constantly tired. He was an arrogant idiot, I felt lile giving him bad advice just because he wouldn't listen to me ~ couldn't even get to the end of a sentence. He even laughed when I told him you should be able to have a kick-ass workout in an hour or less. Cock.

Any thing longer your body starts to produce cortisol which destroys muscle......

For me it's really subjective to what I'm doing.

Obviously a cirrcut routine is going to be 30-45mins tops, a full body routine is going to take alot longer as would something like an upper lower split.

But right now my WO's last about and hour, hour and a half.

60-90 minutes, but I can press a great session out in 30-45 if time doesn't permit my longer workouts.

    60-75min

typically 60min but my heavy chest/back day can start taking a long time since I'll do 6-7sets of bench/deads with 2-3min rests btwn sets

This. Only time I train longer than an hour is when I train with a few of the powerlifting guys, just cos it takes longer to get through the sets.

Someone told me many years ago, you can lift hard and you can lift long, but you can't do both.
