I voted Anderson, but I think if it were a competition that combined raw strength and athleticism Mariusz would dominate.

Pudzianowski maybe one of the strongest men in history but my old training partner and good friend James Thompson beat his ass in a cage fight.

Jon Paul was a great strongman but not the strongest of all. He had a great amount of athleticism that helped him to 4 titles. OD Wilson was stronger and gave him one of those titles. Magnus Samuelson was phenomenal too. He broke another strongman's arm in the arm wrestle.

More proof that muscular bulk is not necessary to be extremely strong. Some of the strongest men of our time looked nothing like BB'rs, but had ridiculous strength. To be extremely gifted in the realm of strength, you must be born with the gift. Sure, some men have become pretty strong due to massive drug use and extreme dedication to the development of their strength, but in order to be a Magnus Samuelson, a Benedickt Magnuson, a John Paul, a Bill Kaz, a John Kuc, a John Cole, a Vasily Alexeev, or a Don Reinhoudt....you MUST be born with an unusual and exceptional gift for strength.

These men are almost always tall, with very thick bones, massive tendons and ligaments, they often have above average leverages, and superior nervous system. Some men are just born to be strong...and even if they didn't use drugs, they still would've been extremely strong.....often times a good deal stronger than the next guy who has to juice his ass off just to come close. Your either born with this gift or your not. One can try and use drugs in excessive quanities to reach an impressive level of strength, but they will never be anywhere near as strong as these guys when they are also using drugs.

Since Samuelson is in the video above, I'll use him as an example. I just saw a video of him strict curling 300 lbs for reps. I saw this video years ago, but just watched it again today....and it is futher evidence that guys like this are born strong. Even if Samuelson had never used a drug in his life, he would still be curling more than the average man who has taken a boat-load of AAS for years. You either got it or you don't.
