    Default Broccoli vs sirloin steak. What has more protein?

    Green vegtebales are so powerfully rich in nutrients that when u compare them to animal products they contain 300X as much of even the nutrients that are in animal products.

    Protein content of broccoli per 100 calories is 11.2g vs sirloin steak which is 5.2g.

    Most people don't even realize that broccoli has protein.

    How do you think cows got the protein to put in to make it's muscle tissue? Did you think it just breathed it in through the air? Most animals used to eat greens to get the protein.

    Important point: calories only come from three things, fat, carbs, and protein.

    If you didn't think broccoli was mostly protein, then u must of thought it was carbohydrate like a potato, or did you think it was fat like an avacado. In other words since there are only three sources of macronutrients broccoli is about 60% protein. Meat and sirloin steaks are about 24% calories from protein. It's about 70% of calories from fat.

    Steak is mostly fat and broccoli is mostly protein.

    Eat your broccoli people!

    I mean if it fit my macros all I would eat is broccoli, but alas, that is not the case.

    Don't eat a lot of red meat, it's bad for your health. Limit red meat to 2-3 servings/wk, preferably less.

    You'd have to eat 14oz of broccoli to get 11.2 of protein. 14 oz of sirloin would be nearly 80g. fuck off OP.

    OP, also broccoli (per 1oz serving) is .85g protein, 1.5g carbs, .1 fat. Your sirloin is 5.5g protein, 0 carbs, 4.3 fat. Soo....

    This ^^. And vegetable protein is not the same as animal source protein. They don't contain a full amino acid profile and are not complete proteins. Trying to say the broccoli protein content is as effective as steak is fucking idiotic.
