    Dorian wasnt a regular smoker.. I remember seeing a picture of him smoking a cigar once after one of his olympia wins i think

    I have a hard time believing that Dorian smoked, he was VERY vocal in his condemnation of smoking and drinking during his competitive years. One must keep in mind that this was a different era, ashtrays were still built into the arm rests of trains, busses, airplanes, movie theatre seats etc. the anti-smoking /second hand smoke thing hadn't really caught on yet and people smoked pretty much everywhere with out backlash from non-smokers.

    There have been extremely successfull olympians that have been smokers (ruhl for instance) but I'm 99.9% sure that Dorian was not one of them.

    Arnold became famous because he had personality and charisma, not because of the Weider brothers. He was the best. Arnold and Sergio were equal size in 72, but Arnold had much better conditioning so he won deservingly. In 1980 Mike Mentzer got robbed. I agree Arnold didn't deserve to win that one
