    Bodybuilder Antoine Vaillant demonstrates some stretching techniques for bodybuilders. Vaillant also tosses in footage of his new PR on flat DB Press. Watch him crank out 150 x 16 reps while a couple of guys go bow hunting on TV.

    Stretching is so important....I stretch for 30mins almost every morning. Sort of like my own version of yoga LOL it has made a HUGE difference!!!

    Thats just very basic... I do a bunch of cool stuff for recup and stretching....

    Static stretches always after....

    Dynamic stretches are done before!

    I dont know about stretching after, but according to the shadow static stretching before causes "microtears in the muscle weaking you during the workout". I'm reading his first book atm, where he advocates static stretching. But since then, I dont think he does advocate it.

    What about static stretches between sets? Like Levrone uses?...

    Like Antoine said you should do static stretches post workout. Stretching like that does create micro-tears in the muscle, very similar to the way strength training does. The muscle doesn't contract as hard after it becomes stretched out and less elastic. I think that Dorian still advocates stretching but it's more of the dynamic (or moving) style. Things like deep slow lunges are a better way to stretch prior to strength training.

    Stretching between sets is fine because in general you aren't holding each stretch for an extended period of time (20-30 seconds).
    Today I will do what you will not, so that tomorrow I can do what you cannot.
