Man look at the separation and detail, esp the serratus. His abs go IN not because he's sucking them in but because he's breathing. Wow! Good old days. Vince Taylor too.
I loved the 60's, 70's and 80's. Great little clip, thanks for posting up.
I still think Lee is the greatest ever....he won the nationals...then the Mr. Universe...then came back to America, and won all those Olympia's......wow......It used to be you almost were expected to go battle in the universe after winning a national title...I miss those days....
Ralph Moeller was in that.

I deserved it ! lol..........I just think winning nationals, then the Mr. Universe..and then...coming back and winning in America is like the total package...how many people have done that....that is amazing......Howard, remember back in the day....you almost always went to the Universe if you won your class at nationals...what happened ?
Very cool clip. Lee Haney was the best there ever was in bodybuilding
Back then, the only way to turn pro was to win your class at the Universe after winning your class at the Nationals. It all changed in '96 when the IFBB started drug-testing the Universe and that's why they eventually created the Team Universe in '94, to send over a team that could pass the drug testing if they were chosen to take the test. After '96, you only had to win your class at the Nationals to turn pro and beginning in '97, the overall winner of the USA could also turn pro.
Looked incredible. His legs looked great their.
