    We will be holding the AGM at the end of year. This will allow us to talk about the entire season of shows, including the national level events. It will also be after the CBBF AGM, which will allow the executive to report back after the meeting of any changes made at the CBBF level.

    note: if you are a competing athlete and you ever want funding from BCABBA to go onto Nationals
    you need to be a mbr for 2 yrs and go to the AGM both those yrs along with doing some sort of Volunteer work
    ie: putting up posters, helping at shows etc
    I RECOMMEND ALL MY ATHLETES AND FUTURE ATHLETES TO GO TO AGM

    and from here on anyone entering will have a $200 late fee ontop of their entry fee
    entries close and will not be accepted after 1 wk out

    PLEASE NOTE the following information:

    You must be a current member to enter a BCABBA event, but both membership application and entry form may be sent in together.

    Memberships run from January to December each year.

    As of the 2011 AGM, members voted to increase the late fee to $200.
    If an athlete enters after the 4 week out deadline, the late fee charge will be required in addition to the regular entry fee.
    This is to AVOID LATE ENTRIES into the the event for the sake of the BCABBA administration and the Promoter's preparation for the event.

    At the 2011 AGM members also voted to create a one week out final deadline.
    All entries must be received no later than one week out from the event.
    After one week out, no athletes will be allowed to enter the competitions.
    This is to avoid last minute entries which slow down the athlete's meeting a
    nd affect all the athletes waiting to compete.

    big thanx to IFBB Pro Carlos Rabiei for killing me in a leg workout today,
    felt like i was gonna throw up for about 2 hrs,
    and now i can't walk 3 feet without both legs seizing !!!!!!!

    What was your approach in the week or two leading into a powerlifting meet, both nutrition and training wise?

    What do you think the best approach would be for someone to try to bring up a lift that they're making slow progress with?

    my husband and coach at the time 3 time world record holder in bench and 3 time world champion powerlifter Doug Young
    there was no lifting 7 days out of the meet
    and i didn't deadlift any closer than 10 days out

    nutrition wise i always kept my weight within my weight class
    depending on which class i lifted in
    cuz in the beginning i was in 148's i had to watch what i ate closely (fewer starchy carbs and cals)
    when i was 165 and 181 it was hard for me to keep my wt up
    so i consumed tons of calories and had to force feed to keep my wt that high at that time
    always eat clean just like a bodybuilding offseason diet
    6 x's a day, protein, starchy carbs, lots fruits and vegs, and efa's
