Hey Mike, what is your opinion on homosexuality? Not the right to engage in such behaviour, but the very nature of such a desire in the first place. Do you think it's a genuine sexual preference, or would you consider it an abnormality akin to various congenital conditions?

Sexuality is a human characteristic. It is like handedness in that it exists along a continuum. There are extremely left handed people who can do almost nothing with their right hands and vice versa, as well as people who are ambidextrous.

In the same way there are extremely heterosexual people, extremely homosexual people and every subtle nuance in between, including those who are truly bisexual and are attracted to both sexes equally. Now don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that someone who lies in the gray middle of the hetero continuum is a "little gay". What I'm saying is that it may account for people like myself who are heterosexual but comfortable with gay people and have no innate repulsion to them.

In my opinion those who are the most vehemently anti-gay are probably usually either at the extreme hetero side (the thought of it repulses them in every way) or uncomfortably close to the middle (they feel an attraction to the same sex but feel the need to fight it however they can). Again, that just my opinion based on things I've seen in my life.

ive always kind of related it to a fetish. Like, enlarged tits made me hard from the moment i noticed silicone as a young child. for a gay man, im sure the sight of a hard cock made him hard once, and had an erotic biochemical response to it. Really aint much more too it than that. some things get your juices flowing, and some things dont. I dont like big asses, could look at a chicks ass all day and not get hard. show me some big fake tits, and my cock is ROCK hard and i feel all tingly inside

Anybody can become ambidextrous with appropriate training, and people that lose a hand very quickly adapt to using the other... not sure how you would apply that to your sexuality analogy, just saying.

^Agreed. I don't see the tie in. I taught myself to throw a decent football left handed, gays can't throw footballs...? Maybe I get the reference.

They are not "tied in", I am saying that sexuality is no different from many other human characteristics which lie on a continuum. The ability to taste certain compounds is another.

It's not a perfect analogy. Just trying to make sense of the wide range of sexuality that we see in human beings.

what's that supposed to mean, ....? haha. My aunt is like 70 and has a life partner, her first one died. They are happy and retired in Palm Springs. Who am I to judge them, or be ashamed, soo stupid. California turned out most of my mothers side of the family, weird.

ha ha! Doesn't mean anything. I'm just saying that you have a lot of gay people in your family taking into account the percentage of gay people in the population.

Usually most families have one or two tops. Maybe it's because your family is more open and accepting and your members feel free to be who they truly are. Other families may unknowingly encourage homosexuals to repress or deny by the way they demonstrate their intolerance. Just a thought.

I believe homosexuality is both a 'natural' inclination in some as well as a learned/adopted practice both of which are rooted in compromised mental faculties by either experienced truma (molestation, being picked on, extremely poor relationship experience etc.) or "bad" cerebral wiring. Either way, its all in the brain...
