    Heptathalon = 7 events
    Pentathalon = 5 events

    That was the correction, what math are you using to say a pentathalon would let them focus on one thing and put us to square one?
    Embrace the suck!

    A clean and jerk is very similar to a bench, deadlift and squat. They are all multi-joint movements. Since your such a badass how much can you squat? 315? 405? If you can squat some heavy weight it means you've trained before so you partake in this shit sport, rendering your comment pointless. If you can't squat then that means you are weak and probably fat. Therefore, either way you are fucked and not a "real" man.

    Absolutely not. I thought I was strong because I could back squat and deadlift over 400 lbs. Then I tried to clean and jerk(ONLY, no attempts at snatching) and found out the truth. I found all sorts of weaknesses in strength I had no idea existed. Weaknesses I didn't want to believe!

    which means...what ?....It's like arm wrestling or sex or any performance activity....genetically speaking....some men are proficient at some acts while others are not...some can bench 300 on first attempt...some men can't get it up....it's all about the inidividuals strengths and weaknesses
