I guess I should have written "I was an untrained amateur, now I am making my living..."

But I was an amateur when I started, and still consider myself one with respect to the latin root of the word which means, not to be bad at something, which we now take it to mean, but rather to do something because you love it. (amare = to love)

I also do not feel like an industry leader. I still make terrible technical mistakes and I still feel like I learn something new every time I go out on a shoot. That's why seeing Kai at the posing class really touched me and my commentary about it reflects my own feelings about what I am doing

For the record, I'm an agnostic who points out the absurdity and hypocrisy in man-made religion. That has nothing to do with God, whether He exists, or what He thinks about all of this.

People will argue about what it really means, of course... but for me it means simply that I don't know the answer. I don't think anyone else knows either and I don't think we can EVER know.
