    Lightbulb Soy laced Whey Isolates!

I came across this article. It says 99.9% of whey protein powders contain soy because the powder goes through a process called "instantization". I was a bit surprised because on most whey isolate labels, soy does NOT appear on the ingredients label. However, in small print regarding the allergy warning, it may or may not say "contains soy lecithin". I don't think soy is all that bad but for many guys here on the boards, they'd flip if they discovered this little known fact.

It's not "little known" brother. Soy licithin is in almost every processed product now a days and some companies even put that the soy is genetically modified. This is why people like John Meadows and Evan Centopani prefer whole foods because you never know what your getting in that $50 plastic tube.... Just look at the possible effects of GMO Soy death and infertility lol... The fact is people just don't give a shit

I found one company(Integrated Supplements) and their protein ingredients label says "non GMO soy lecithin". However, most other protein powders I've seen entirely leave out lecithin on the ingredients label and instead put "allergen: contains milk and soy"(sly bastards right). Obviously, we have no way of telling if the soy lecithin is GMO or non GMO. The same goes for waxy maize supps(derived from corn).

Considering 85% of corn in the US is GMO and 94% of soy is GMO I think anyone can draw there own conclusion... Sad really

Be careful discussing health and food quality or stating that much of the food in this country is garbage. I tried that once while I was learning a lot about nutrition and food quality (from Food Inc, Ingredients, Supercharge Your Immune System, Fat Sick & Nearly Dead, Healthy Aging and other insightful documentaries) but everyone went ape shit and claimed I was some sort of elitist for trying to spread positive info.

That's good for them bro. Fuck em. You know what's up. Just like I said people just don't give a shit... They rather justify being fucked up than just read a few books and articles and realize the damage they really are causing their bodies and changing for the better. Good for you Kontour.

I completely agree with you about soy. I don't know if you have read it but there's a book called 'The Whole Soy Story.' It lays out some pretty scary facts about soy and the industry giants pushing it as a food source.
