Elizabeth Olsen Joins Cast of Avengers Sequel, Age of Ultron
Elizabeth Olsen has some Marvelous news to share with you.
The 24-year-old actress has finally confirmed the rumor that she has been cast in Joss Whedon 's highly anticipated Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, after Samuel L. Jackson let the cat out of the bag last month while speaking to the Wall Street Journal .
In an sit-down with MTV while making the press rounds for Oldboy, Olsen revealed that she'll play Wanda Maximoff, better known among the fanboy set as The Scarlet Witch.
While admitting she didn't have much in the way of details, the younger sis of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen did say the role will reunite her with her costar from the upcoming Godzilla remake, Aaron Taylor-Johnson ( Kick-Ass), whom The Wrap reported has been tapped to play Scarlet's twin brother, Quicksilver.
"We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister," Olsen said. "It's also fun because even though in Godzilla we play husband and wife, we don't have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I'm so excited we get to work with each other more and to actually work with each other. I think it's going to be fun."
Per Marvel lore, Scarlet and Quicksilver are the mutant children of Magneto, the notorious villain of the X-Men comic books. Her powers include the ability to cast hexes that enable her to do such wonders as deflect objects, create force fields and blow stuck up while her sibling's powers include moving and thinking at superhuman speeds.
Elizabeth attended Monday night's New York City premiere of Oldboy with Jackson (her costar in the Spike Lee-directed drama who also plays Nick Fury in the Marvel superhero franchise), and she had high praise for Whedon, whom she called whip smart.
"Some people are too smart for their own good, but he's amazing," she said.
Avengers: Age of Ultron, which stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and James Spader, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

Hugh Jackman Talks Up Third Wolverine Solo Movie
'There are some really cool ideas that I’m dying to tell you...'
Remember, remember, November 5? That was the day the news emerged that after the success of The Wolverine - which has the second biggest box office haul of the whole X-franchise, behind X-Men: The Last Stand - director James Mangold, producer Lauren Shuler Donner and star Hugh Jackman were interested in making a third solo Wolverine movie. Now, Jackman has opened up (a little bit) about why he's back on board to Entertainment Weekly.
Previously, the 45-year-old Jackman had hinted that his time as Logan wasn't going to last forever. "It’s nearing the end,” he said back in September. “I do feel that. If there are any more movies, there would have to be a really good reason for it.” Fortunately, it seems like a good reason has arrived.
It’s nearing the end,” he said. “I do feel that. If there are any more movies, there would have to be a really good reason for it.”
“I was on the phone with Jim Mangold last night,” Jackman told EW. “There are some really cool ideas that I’m dying to tell you, but that would be giving away a secret that is not even [fully] formed yet.”
“I started with a two-picture deal on the first two [X-Men films], and from that point on, it’s been movie by movie — not just me, but Fox and Jim and everyone,” he says. “I do want to do it with Jim and with [producer] Lauren Shuler-Donner because we had such a great experience. I’m really proud of The Wolverine.”
This may remind fans of the metal-clawed Canadian of something else Jackman said back in September: “I can tell you this, and I can say this now: I wasn’t sure that I would do another Wolverine movie after the first one,” he said. “I just felt that I hadn’t done the character justice, and that was a bit of a hole inside of me.” Modest to the last, there's no doubt he's a fan favourite, and has embodied the role in such a way as to leave anyone else thinking about filling his boots very nervous indeed.
Now, Jackman is singing a slightly different tune. “I am enjoying him more than ever… being older helps playing Wolverine. He’s 200 or 300 years old — no one really knows — and he’s sort of world-weary. The actual working out gets harder and harder, I’ll admit.”
“I love the character, he’s kind of like a best friend to me, and I don’t ever want to take [him] or the fans for granted. … I think we’ve got a great opportunity to make something really cool, but it has to be great. That’s what we’re all working toward.”
Do you want to see Jackman come back for one last hack-and-slash after Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past? If that movie serves as a sort of franchise reboot, considering the timey-wimey wibbly-wobbly stuff, there may be a space for a new Wolverine down a new trouser of time, but is that a world we want to live in? Who could you see playing him, if Jackman shaves off his beard once and for all?
Before you answer those questions, read our in-depth discussion as to what to do with a third Wolverine - especially considering the timeline tricksiness - over in this direction, and remember that The Wolverine is out on Blu-ray and DVD now. Jackman is currently shooting Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi comedy Chappie in South Africa, so look forward to seeing that at some point in 2015.

Fifth Bourne Film Set For August 2015 Release
Year apparently still not quite crowded enough
Just when you thought 2015 couldn't get even more crammed, the studios surprise us all by adding yet another film to the already teetering crowd of films stuck on top of the game of box office Buckaroo that is the year’s release slate. You can now count the fifth Bourne film among those vying for your attention and your hard-earned currency at the cinema.
August 14 is the day that, in the States at least, audiences will see how a new team takes on the franchise, with Fast & Furious veteran director Justin Lin calling the shots and Sherlock Holmes writer Anthony on script duty. According to the most recent reports, Jeremy Renner’s Aaron Cross is still the focus for this adventure, so it’ll likely follow on from The Bourne Legacy’s reveal of another super-spy program and the fallout from Cross going up against those trying to wipe him out.
One other release of note (though one not elbowing its way into the busy 2015 calendar) is Luc Besson’s latest, the Scarlett Johansson-starring Lucy, set to arrive on August 8 next year. The film finds Johansson as an unwitting drug mule who becomes a powerhouse fighter when one of the designer narcotics leaks into her system, making her able to suppress pain and avoid emotion, all the while starting a ticking clock on killing her. At least she won't have to battle for attention during cinemageddon the following year...

As official as any tweet can be, Bryan Singer, the director of next year’s hotly-anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past has announced that 2016 will see the release of the follow-up, X-Men: Apocalypse. This information, which of course we’re jumping because it’s awesome, was delivered in the following, very brief tweet by the director:
#Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!
— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) December 5, 2013
Other than that, we have nothing. Even the guy who plays Iceman had no idea.
“@BryanSinger: #Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!” Whoa!!!! For real?!?!?
— Shawn R Ashmore (@ShawnRAshmore) December 5, 2013
SlashFilm is reporting that the tentative release date is May 27th, 2016. We’ll have more information when we have it, but knowing that another X-Men is on the way months before the movie is even released is a sign of both the studio’s excitement about the franchise and the director, and their desire to keep the train a-rolling given Sony’s recent announcement of ALL THE Spider-Man MOVIES!

The Amazing Trailer For The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The pre-Christmas rush of big trailers for upcoming films is getting going in earnest now. Yesterday saw a new look at 300: Rise Of An Empire, The Monuments Men and Pompeii, and today we get a fresh gander at The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and in particular a first look at Paul Giamatti's Rhino and Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn. Check it out below.
The film sees Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) more comfortable in his Spider-skin these days and enjoying his abilities, along with girlfriend Gwen Stacey (Emma Stone). But his good mood is about to be tested when new villains appear in the shape of Jamie Foxx's Elektro and Paul Giamatti's Rhino, and rich kid Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) tells Peter that he's been under surveillance by Oscorp. Yikes.
Marc Webb is back as director, and promised at Comic-Con that this one will be "operatic" in scale and ambition. This trailer certainly seems to suggest that he's right, and we're sneakily happy that they've lost the first-person web-shooter cam of the last film in favour of a more classic style here.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits cinemas on April 18, 2014, with two more instalments planned for May 2016 and May 2018. Expect lots more from our friendly neighbourhood menace, in other words.

IGN's stoked to debut this sweet new viral image below for Legendary and Warner Bros.' upcoming retelling of Godzilla. The photo below shows Nevada’s 'Devil’s Throat' sinkhole and has clues that will lead fans to a URL where they can get glimpses from the new Godzilla trailer, which debuts online in full this Tuesday, December 10, at 10am PST/1pm EST.
Nevada’s 'Devil’s Throat' sinkhole, thought to have formed in the past decade, is located in the remote wilds of the Mojave Desert - barren lands left scarred from atomic testing. Before being removed from this perimeter by security officers, one civilian leaked a smartphone image of what appears to be a secret quarantine zone established by paramilitary troops and scientific researchers.
Closer inspection reveals a URL that may contain more details on the mysterious M.U.T.O. group at the epicenter of this incident.
It seems that this 'classified' site is hiding the first Godzilla trailer from the fans. So if you want to help unlock it, you'll have to "hack" the secretive organization known as M.U.T.O. Here's a taste of what's in store at the M.U.T.O. site:
