    "Today a disheartening choice was made that I had to pull out of the Masters Olympia. However, I will be there Thursday for the press conference and at that time will explain the reason for my pulling out of the competition, which is my quadricep tear that is not getting better and actually has become worse. I don't want to disappoint my fans competing less than 100%. I will also be at the Masters Olympia on Friday and Saturday to support all athletes, greet fans and hand out trophies to the winners. Thank you to each of you for all of the support and encouragement. Rock and Roll"

    Mike must be over 50 now and his body is human .
    Sadly, we all get older and can risk injury in this game.
    I admire Mike's attitude and his willingness to still attend and be part of this great event.
