I am about to enter my first one in May. I would like to get my name out like the way you do and others too. Ex: I will enter in May, then how far apart do you train to enter the 2nd contest? I was just wondering what all the NPC's do such as you and others do? I know everyone is different. thanks and good luck in the spring semester. you can do it lol
As you noted, everyone is different when it comes to frequency of shows. It really just depends on the person, personally i haven't done more than one a year. For me that works, starting out though doing more shows will better help get your name out there. Such as doing a national or jr national level qualifying show then going to the national or jr national show later that year. (granted i don't know your level since its your first show) but a lot of people like a warm up show then go to a more prestigious show next. Thank you, I head back next week and really hoping i get some good classes and professors...much appreciated

    Hey Cody,

Just curious - how's your living situation while you're at school? I got into bodybuilding while I was a sophomore in college and lived off campus and I can only imagine that it would be pretty tough to get your meals prepped if you lived in a dorm room (which most freshman are required to do). Also - do people around you (in class, at the gym, etc.) know what you do? Do people ever bug you at the gym on-campus? Keep up the good work man, it's cool to see your progress!

Yeah i chose a university that allowed me to live off campus as a freshman, honestly I like it more. I can schedule my classes when i need to, around training times and meals, as well as i have a lot more time out of school compared to high school..I don't say, so i doubt they know. Ive been approached on a few occasions with ppl who follow the sport that go there and want to meet me or take a pic. & i haven't actually trained on campus ever, believe it or not.

Hi Cody, Hope your preps going well and on point?

Just a quick question to do with water pre show? Do you follow the way of increasing water at the start of peak week then gradually reducing it over the final couple of days?

    Thanks,

    Rob

Prep is going great so far...and for the water question, it really just depends but yes I've done it that way. But what works for one person might not work for another. Hope this answers your question!
