Great interview. He is kind of a Lee Labrada to me. It is sad that the days are gone when physiques like that got rewarded the way they should be. I hope he does well.

I've known Danny since 91 - would LOVE to see him on the pro 212 stage. He does harken back to guys like Labrada, Makkewy, and Bannout. Just perfect shape and proportion.

I didn't know about this guy until I saw him compete I believe at the 2010 Usa's. I think he took 3rd or 4th. And his shape and structure were unmatched. He has a classic physique and also a great poser. I wish him the best and hopefully he finally gets that pro card!

He is very Bob Paris-like from the front. I couldn't see him doing much in the 212 class, though. His side poses are off and his glutes and hams look watery from pictures I've found on the net. He needs to add a few more sets of squats to his leg day routine too.

I remember seeing this guy back on Flex TV on ESPN when I first started getting into lifting weights! Would LOOOOOOOOVE to see him earn a pro card! Already messaged him about getting an interview!

We actually featured him extensively on the ESPN American Muscle show that I worked on for most of the 90's, is that what you meant? My boss loved shooting him because unlike most bb's, he was always in shape. I doubt he was ever more than 10 pounds over contest weight if that.

Always liked the shape of his physique.. I always thought hat if he could put 8 to 10 solid pounds on he'd be difficult to beat..

Great assessment of his phsyique at recent national level contests.
To me, guys like Danny Hester and Bob Paris represent what the ideal bodybuilder should look like.
My concern is that bodybuilding has prioritized ripped glutes and freaky mass/cuts over shape and lines
With the new MPD now entrenched, we may see LESS Danny Hester types in BODYBUILING line ups.

Make no mistake , I think Hester belongs in a national or 212 pro BODYBUILING line up.
I just wonder if the judges will see it that way?
