Thread: Victor Martinez, Jon Delarosa & Juan Morel Train Arms - Part 1 & 2!

I don't want to be the bad guy here, but how can anyone think that training like that is optimal? They literally DROP the barbell on the NEGATIVE portion of the REP (curl), no attention to the negative whatsoever. JUST UP AND DOWN AND UP AND DOWN, no mind muscle connection, no grueling tension, just 5-8 SHITTY ASS REPS. On the close grips triceps, the weight was too heavy again. Since when do bodybuilders train like POWERLIFTERS? Sorry, I respect all three of you fellas, but this video does not do you justice..

There is no CONTRACTING, STRETCHING, AND SQUEEZING. As Ben Pac said: "I don't lift weights, I contract muscles".

I think if modern bodybuilders trained more old-school in the 12-15+ rep range, with MORE FOCUS ON STRETCHING AND SQUEEZING, more people would like like Phil Health, who trains precisely that way. You'll never see Phil struggle to do 5 shitty reps with a weight he can't handle. Kai either. So if you are competing with the best, as you say, you may wanna train like the best as well.

form is improtant get over it. you can chest here and there when doing curls or lateral raises, but most people dont have the mind muscle connection pros have, form is crucial for them.

Do you know me, have you seen me, or are you just making empty judgements? If this were the 80's, I would be on the Olympia stage haha sorry I don't want to look like a mutant.

Question for jon or juan. How did you know what worked for you did you experiment with a technique, rep scheme for an amount of time and take measurements. Or was it a type of feeling I would like to know how one goes about KNOWING what works best for them ... Thanks I really appreciate that.

Since it seems to be the topic:
I can't speak for the 3 of these guys but I am willing to bet that they train differently from time to time. Ronnie was one of the only guys that seemed to do the same thing the same way for years and years. Then again, why would he change a damn thing!? lol
Jay seems to be one of the guys that changes things all the time. I've seen several of his videos. Always noticed how in one video, it's heavy basic stuff. In another it's really squeezing the muscle. In another it's all about pre exhausting, etc.
To watch 15 minutes of these guys training and think that must be what they do all the time is ridiculous imo. They could say I'm wrong I suppose but I'm just taking a shot in the dark.
