    The wife has no issue with muscle... Just don't want me 250-60lbs of it. Which I don't want either.

    Yeah, I think sometimes she thinks i'm wanting to be like some of these big ass bodybuilders... I am pretty sure, that is not in my future.. haha.. A cut up 220-230 will be the end game for me.. Then I will try and maintain that look.

    Preciate it. Feels like its some baby weight though.. I just really don't care for low reps much. That shit is badass to watch and get pumped up to, but really it does nothing to my physique. I can still press and pull heavy if I want, but TBH once I tore my pec up... I didn't wanna go through an injury again like that... I find reppin a decent weight for more reps is more impressive than 1-3 rep training.. Just my opinion though.. To each their own

    5-13 Leg Day

    Did some different stuff today.. Didn't do a shit ton of movements and just focused on the quality of a few exercises.

    Front Squats... Usually do these on smith, but wanted to try it with a bar today.

    135 warmup x 15, 12

    185 x 15
    205 x 12
    225 x 10, 8, 8

    Definitely a lot harder than smith.. My legs were on fire and pumped after these. Actually felt a ton better than back squats

    Hack Squats
    2 pps x 12 warmup
    3 pps x 12
    4 pps x 10, 10
    4 and a quarter x 7, 7

    Standing leg curls

    50 ps x 20
    65 ps x 15, 15, 12

    Stiff leg Db's
    90 x 12
    100 x 12
    110 x 8, 8

    Calves Seated
    45 per side x 50, 50, 40, 35.. 30 seconds rest per set

    Standing
    3 pps x 12, 12, 10


    I took my time on these and didn't rush shit like normal... Felt a little better on my lower back, which is nice.

    We will see how my legs feel tomorrow... Gotta get my legs bigger... calves are ok, IMO.. but they need to be bigger as well.

    Nothin wrong with 225 for 8s....

    for me front squats become a cardio exercise if I do more then 6 reps.

    You are correct, sir... my breathing was very difficult with that shit sittin up on my neck... With the smith, you can kind of maneuver it around to however you need... Once you walk out with it on a bar, it's pretty much how it is the whole time... I think if I keep doing these more often, I could actually be better at front squats than back squats.. I like back squats, but it just tweaks my hips for a good week afterwards

    5-14.. Chest and Shoulders... Taking my time with each exercise this week.. Making each set count. My quads are toast today, sore as fuck.. Had to take some damn muscle relaxers last night just to keep my legs from jumpin around...

    Started with :

    Flat Dumbell Bench
    warmups 60 x 15, 15

    Ramp sets
    70 x 8
    80 x 8
    90 x 6

    Work sets
    100 x 12
    110 x 10
    115 x 8, 8 Havent done flat dbs in a while really, mostly start with incline and this was pretty easy today.. Rested about 2 minutes per set, usually 60 seconds is the max I would rest. Did not cramp up as bad like this however.

    Incline Db's
    High Reps
    60 x 25
    65 x 18
    70 x 18
    Triceps were pretty beat after these

    Smith Machine Inclines - low setting 30 degrees
    225 x 12
    245 x 10
    265 x 8, 8

    Shoulders
    Reverse pec deck

    Half stack x 15
    3/4 stack x 12, 12, 10
    Drop sets 15 reps

    Standing lateral raise - both arms same time

    35 x 15
    40 x 12
    45 x 10

    Seated one arm lateral raise

    25 x 15
    30 x 12, 12

    Finished... Pretty decent workout
