Did Dorian ever do 25 sets of back with 7 or 8 total exercises? Branch must love the volume. His joints are going to be garbage in just a few years down the road.

I'm not a Branch fan by any sort or means, but the guy did great for what genetics he had. He is showing his signs of wear and tear though. The year he placed second to Jay at the Olympia he looked sick and after that its been down hill. He did have some crazy wheels though.

So it's factual that you must use volume if your "genetics are not the best"? Tell that to an ectomorph.

Absurd to think that volume is the only thing that works. Tell it to a true ecto. Ain't happening.

Lulz.. Thats the dumbest thing ive heard this year. Almost as dumb as A.J. Everyone is different and nothing is set in stone no matter what body type you are

for you obviously would be the oposite
Dont know why people confuse the matter by saying certain types of training for ectomorphs, meso etc. Generally, if you train with good form and get progressively stronger, you will grow. Imo, nobody should need more than two work sets per exercise, unless your in the very beginning stage. 4-5 exercises for back, 2 work sets after one or two warm-ups, you'll have a back on ya (with the food and rest of course).

Great post and fair critique of Branch. He did have some of the best leg genetics and plenty of men have had great upper bodies with lousy legs, so wtf. Branch got results by using, hard, intense work on his weak areas. EVERY sport requires one to push the limits and not be 100% safe. Elite sport isn't about health , it's about pushing the limits and winning.

Yeah he is a full retard. Or, maybe we're all just idiots besides him. Who knew that one type of training style would be the only effective way to build muscle for at least a billion people on the planet (estimate of how many ectomorphs there are in the world). I'll tell you who knew, ecto god Michael Edwards.

I'd have to disagree. I'm more of the belief to train to build and maintain muscle i.e. 6-10 reps, and reduce fat through cardio exercise and diet. I suppose doing it through training would work, but an inefficient way imo.
