Peter, I am all for your article, I agree Dexter is out of this world.

One question though, I have Albert Beckles being born on 1930, that would make him 61 in 1991, and 55 when he took #2 at the O.

Did i get his DOB correct? Thanks!

dex is one of the greatest of all times. longest successful career ever! best around 200 ponds bodybuilder ever! you will never see such a short and small bodybuilder being that successful again. the future is 280 ponds at 6 foot.

Very good question. For many years it was understood that Albert was born in 1930. But some time ago (validated by his passport) it seemed to be proven that he was in fact born in 1938. But some sites/references still have the 1930 info.

I became an instant fan of Dex when I saw his pictures in the 2003 Mr. Olympia report in Flex Magazine. I had never seen a more perfect physique and even today i still hold that opinion. I still get a little choked up when i watch the 2008 Olympia DVD and Bob announces Dex as the new Mr. Olympia. It's a pleasure, honor, and inspiration to still see Dex still competing today and doing so well.

I always suspected there was something strange about it.

    Thanks a lot PMG!

Dexters Olympia win was very emotional. have to admit I had a lump in my through watching that display of emotion.
It was a well deserved win and I think an acknowledgement of respect from the entire IFBB.
it just felt good to watch.

Dexter is a cool, laid back dude. Deserves everything he's worked for.

Besides all the amazing symmetry and rock hard conditioning, Dexter is a true mass monster when you consider how much muscle he put on his frame.

Is Albert still alive? If so what is he doing now?

Dexter is the Bernard Hopkins of bodybuilding (and Hopkins is the Dexter Jackson of boxing). Still looking great and dominating much younger guys into his 40s.

Is he the most consistent bodybuilder ever?
