Default genetics proven to be not as important as once thought

many people have been told over and over again that genetics play a large role in one's ability to gain lean muscle mass and acquire a sexy physique. a new university studied that followed 150 19 year old males with no previous lifting experience over a 6 month period where the youngsters were put on the same exact lifting program and diet. the study found that despite differences in dna, the 150 young men had identical results. basically, the study proves that genetics have absolutely zero to do with anything bodybuilding/strength related.

i know another steroid study.the result was that all guy gained around the same amount of muscle in the same time no matter how they have been build. yes all gained the same it just looked different on each body because of different starting points.

i posted the study once but i cant remember the name. here is another study where you can see in the results that these guys gained up to 16 % tigh muscle volume increase and leg power increase around 22% in 20 weeks at 600mg of test with no weight training at all! no training but muscle and strenght gains!

a none natural athlete gains more muscle than a natural athlete with training thats the shocking truth.

I agree with the results but the muscle gained will look differently on everybody. 20lbs on one will look like 50 on another.

This study seems to have nothing to do with shape and structure (genetics) and that makes up a big portion of bodybuilding.

shape is a different thing you have it or you have not . i thought the thread was more about gaining size with drugs. big muscles are sexy lol. he did not talk about shape and structure.

I took this as nothing to do with bodybuilding or strength. Maybe I am wrong. If that is the case, how could someone like Jay Cutler squat 700lbs by the time he was 19?

does not help if you may die from a tumor. i saw a documentation about aspartame. all studys who say that it is save are paid by the industry, the only independent institute said it causes cancer, tumors and that certain diseases raised on average since aspartame is here. if you eat and drink a lot things with aspartame in it you possibly fuck yourself up.

If that study would have been done with 10000 young people the result would have been different, good genetics are rare, that is why Millions take Steroids and only a couple hundred look good and a handful look great

People definitely put too much on genetics. Typically guys who look like shit and are lazy tend to blame genetics.
