i hear what you're saying. But Mike did have a great start winning his first four shows before illness derailed him. So he left his mark.

Dennis was seen as someone with Bob Paris looks and structure, but with more muscle. He had the mags in a tizzy and got a huge amount of attention and some covers. Imagine him in the line up nowadays? Bottom line is that he lived through it and seems to be living a happy productive life.

Have always thought that Dennis Newman and Rory Leidelmeyer had the most potential to win the O.

Very true. Just a shame these guys didn't get more time and had health issues. Someone should create a 'Lessons Learned' report on those who drop out early due to health issues. Serve notice to up and comers. Get routine health check ups! And to know the Warning Signs of something bad happening.

I'd love to have seen Bob Paris with about 5 more years of serious training with particular attention paid to his back, hamstrings and a bit more arm size.

in 1991 bob paris had everything. he looked like a taller lee labrada ,being his biggest and conditioned ever. he finished very bad at the olympia in that shape anddid not compete again after that.

Confused as to why you would call him "most unrealized potential". Who out there didn't realize it?
I stop me....no one else does.

Unrealized is meant as in the sense of Unfulfilled. Didn't get the chance to fulfill his potential.
