I don't like empty calories such as white rice. Buckwheat is a perfect source of carbs. Full of micronutrients and super easy to digest.

Wild rice, a grain seed. Fantastic way to break the monotony of rice meals.

Personally can't stand brown rice. Hinders my bulking and cutting progress because of terribly slow and uncomfortable digestion.

For me basmanti, jasmine and white digest well. I digest brown rice horribly. Buckwheat (even though I like it) digests horribly too, quinoa - just hate the taste so don't eat it.
For me all kind of potatoes - white or yams digest well too.
I will never understand how it works and why some things agree with your digestion and the others (which should technically be easily digestible) don't.
Just trial and error I guess.

Mainly fiber content for time of digestion. I like brown rice. Digest more slowly so more time beforw hunger sets in while dieting
