Default 1993 NOC: Cottrell Vs Munzer

I think Munzer should have taken this event.

Close call IMO. Both looked AWESOME!!!! Porter had a good run even thought he only competed for a short time!

Cottrell (from those pics) looked like he edged him out from the back. I have never really heard of this guy, BMC what is his story?

Won LHW at the 1991 Nationals, actually beat Levrone at the Chigacao Pro in 1992. Levrone beat him a week later at the NOC. Placed 5th at the 1994 Olympia (I didnt have him in the top 6 at that show). Got sick at the 95 O and had to drop out, competed a few more years but was never able to get into 100% shape. But at the 92 NOC, he looked unreal!

I still remember him posing to "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" at the Arnold. Didn't seem as gay back then.

LMAO!!!! I was there too! He used the same routine at the 1994 Olympia! If someone posed to that now....ehhh, we'd look at them a little weird

I'd still edge it to Porter. Clairmont was great as well.

I was a fan of Cotrell's back then, I really liked his physique. I thought he won that show at the time and still think he did but I remember people were really pissed about it. there was a cover of Flex that Porter did where he's just standing there holding open his firefighter coat and he looked awesome in that shot.

Bingo! Porter had the classic lines , balance and shape.
Munzer was shredded but he looked like a bunch of body parts thrown together.

It's not supposed to me just a low BF% with max mass contest

I think going by current judging standards, Munzer would have won. Had Porter on mass and condition. I don't see structure and shape carrying quite as much weight relative to those as it used to.
