Thread: Phil Heath / Prize Money

Default Phil Heath / Prize Money

Love him or hate him, gotta give it up to Phil for putting up prize money at the Arnold. It goes a long way to show what kind of a guy he really is. Don't see too many other Pro's who have supp companies doing that.

If you were competing in a frindge sport like strongman you wouldn't be putting your nose up at $2000. Strongman are thankful that the Arnold offers another platform where they can get a pay check I'm pretty sure every athlete competing for a check and also strongman only has I believe three contests a year (on a major scale) where there is a monetary prize. Imagine being top ten in the world at your sport and it still costing you money.

Powerlifting is another sport like that, people travel across the world to compete and set a record at their own expense a few lucky ones can get a sponsorship
