Thanks! I'm not concentrating on getting ripped right now, just losing the soft middle. It's all about compounds and heavy work. Gotta get some mass.

Make a jounal. It doesn't have to be epic but your cut should be a help to others.

You have some good forearm and upper arm development compared to everything else. Some upper back and traps coming in too from the rowing shots. Maybe try more volume if you havent already. As a foundational type of rule, I always usually hit a minimum of 12 sets for smaller bodyparts and 15 sets for back. Of course I ended up adding volume to that very quickly but felt like it was a good minimum. Everyone is different but Ive always felt that you really need to drive the message home for each muscle to force growth. My muscle was always very stubborn. Id aim for failure and adding reps or weight on as many sets and movements as possible.

I see your training in a home type gym. Nice. I fucking hate the atmosphere of all these fitness gyms, but dont have the space or money to get the equipment id need to really destroy everything. Heavy freeweights alone would thrash my body at this stage. More of that in the past. Much more machine oriented these days.

Thanks Beast so good to have you drop in. I'm not really thinking much about the contest, it got lost in the wilderness somewhere. But I post up pics regularly so on 'the day' whenever that may be I'll just do the same and take my chances. You don't have a lot of work to do really, muscle memeory should fill you out enough to stand with / beat any of us.

The way I see it, aslong as you continually defeat your former self you are moving forward. Thats all I really ever gave a shit about. You may have some freaky arms and forearms in your future. You have some good thickness in those areas already.

Man, you sitting pushing huge poundages when coming from injury is immortal. No fuss, no fanfare. Just grind.

This year will be the most comprehensive and consistent I've ever trained. Pit that against being mid forties and I have a battle on but it's the battle I want.

    Legs

    1. Trap bar deads - up to 315x3. Great to finally get a real number up!

The warm up pyramid is the effort and the lift itself is joy.

    2. Stiff legged deads (until I get it together to do GHR's)

    3. Calves - standing raises.
