Incredible Cedric routine, but at times becomes too slow. Shit music not help.

Josh have a great idea with a very personal style but should practice more to carry it out. He could be epic.

Meh routines. Still need to make it effortless looking. Some of the poses they selected don't compliment their physiques too.

Disagree, while Cedric deserved the win if he had been as shredded as Branch he would look HUGE on stage.
Branch just amazed and impressed me. I thought Josh was impressive here, but, I would have given Branch 2nd in a close call.

Ok, that's your opinion and this is a forum.

BUT, in my opinion, as a real hardcore BODYBUILDING fan, I thought it was a
great contest and got me pumped (again) to attend IFBB events.

Not the show !!! I was referring to Cedric's posing routine ...I've been a hardcore fan for over 30 yrs and I still don't enjoy the slow music posing routines

I've seen the video again and I still like more Josh posing routine.

Incredible poser, demonstrating that with a physique that doesn't look classic, you can do more than walk around the stage with hand on ear. Epic music and epic poses, one of my favorites guys, no doubt.

Agreed on all fronts. i also think Branch deserved 2nd based on condition and his rear shots head to toe. Josh was just missing too much detail in the glutes and hams. Josh has better shape but then his chest from the front doesn't have Ced or Branches fullness. Josh getting the nod for #2 isn't too far off though and there have been way worse judging calls, this one is just more about priorities and preferences. Ced looks like he has lost a bit of quad sweep (or gained upper body size) and it sort've took away from his celebrated shape and aesthetics for me. Josh had him beat from the front on this bodypart but that's about it. Good contest for a first show. Having seen Ced and Branch and Josh, Kai looks to be an even heavier favorite going into Arnold.

Is it just me or do all of these guys seem out of shape? Peaking for the Arnold maybe?

You are right. Only Warren has condition.

Thanks for the clarification and you make a valid point about posing music.

Al Johnson, is a former La. state chair and veteran national judge.
When he did the pre contest briefing he cautioned AGAINST using slow tempo music.
    Like me , Al enjoyed the symphony, but was fond of saying ;
" This a bodybuilding show, not a funeral or church service. Keep it fun and upbeat."

It's going to be hard judging the posing routines, kind of like judging music genres. How can anybody say that country is better than rap, or that rap is better than classic rock, etc. Some like the classical posing with classical music, others like the Matarazzo type posing with hard rock music that he just went out posing to without having any routine memorized. Fred Smalls wins the best poser in the show a lot, but to me he isn't posng, he's dancing. It's going to make the judging even more confusing than it is.

    Josh, your routine solid/good.
Cedric, your routine was okay (need to work on your transitions without touching the floor in-between)
