At least we aren't hearing the dopey opinion, "Yo, Arnold couldn't win a local show if he was competing today."

He would most likely won in 76..77..78..79..81..82..& 83 if he hadn't retired.
All those guys were great champs but the truth is they benefited from Arnold's retirement and also from Sergio not competing .

He clearly wouldn't win at the pro level today with the body he had back then ......but just imagine what he could have done with the nutrition/drug knowledge we have today and also the modern training styles and equipment !
He might have been just as dominant this generation as he was in the 70's

remember at height of 6'0 it is rare to have all of those things
I think the added size would have hurt his shape much like it hurt Ferrigno's in the early 90's.

Brian Robson - who gives a fuck what dobson has to say.

He won a Olimpia against 0 competitors. - so?

He won a Olympia when Oliva was much better with black curtains argument, lololiva was always insecure on stage and not a good poser.- oliva wasnt much better, they were equally as good, arnold just wanted it more, while oliva was always insecure on stage and a bad poser

He won a Olympia in 80 when looked like shit.- still better than all the other guys. hands down. zane was off and looked bad, mentzer was small and off, dickerson got dwarfed. not arnolds fault that these dudes who have been training for years while he was retired couldnt do what he did in a 9 week transformation. if anything this should tell you how good he was. he trained for 9 weeks hard after he retired in 75 and was still better than the guys who were training hard for years.
oliva has a better waist and thicker quads and triceps but arnold has better overall legs (seperation, hams and calves), overall better arms, abs, chest and back.

oliva is to smooth in to many ares. arnold has more detail.

    High quality photos, yeah.

Arnold popularized the bodybuilding but never had much competition because the big guys were banned of IFBB or they themselves had fled to other federations. And the few guys who competed were not interesting for Weider and his advertising.

So the words of Bryan have all sense in the world. Yates and Coleman are the best bodybuilders ever.

the photos have the same quality for both competitors. you obviously are just a hater so this will be my last post. first of all you didnt adress anything i said, you didnt prove me wrong you just completely ignored it.
second of all, you are all over the place and a hypocrit. you give other competitors shit for competing in different organizations (even when people aware you that they had to do it for political reasons like getting banned) and claim they a cowards who dont want to be on stage with the best but defend the ones who ran from arnold. he won 6 and if he went for it could have won over 13 olympias. sergio was beaten, its that easy. the difference between sergio and arnold is that sergio thought he was gods gift and already perfect, no reason to improve or work on things. his posing was bad, back could have been better, conditioning too but in his mind the others are to blame because they didnt see what he saw. arnold on the other hand improves and works on weaknesses, he searches for them and doesnt hide. just look at that famous pic of him (young) next to nubret. he got owned everywhere, but improved everything.
your comparison with coleman and yates is stupid on so many levels too. they didnt have the supps and machines in the 70´s so how can you compare them? its impossible to tell how arnold would have responded but with his genes and drive im sure he would be up there.

No doubt Arnold would have looked different if he had been born later and competed in later eras, as standards for overall mass, leg and back development, and condition changed as the years went on. Would he still have been Mr. O in 1985, 1995, or 2005? We will never know.

I dont bother to discuss their arguments because obviously you are a big fan of Arnold.

I say that Yates and Coleman are better because they had COMPETITION. Arnold won a title against 0 competitors . Oliva also did, yeah, but is a damn joke.

Arnold could have won 15 titles, but if we are willing to add, we must also subtract those titles that are a shame.

I'm not a hypocrite, it all depends on each individual case. Some guys are banned for political reasons.

Others prefer to be kings of a pond instead fight in the ocean.
