Default Next MD Cover: Kai Greene. No-Holds Barred Interview

Kai Greene is one of the most mysterious competitors to emerge on the bodybuilding landscape in years. The three-time Arnold Classic champion and three-time runner-up at the Mr. Olympia has known the extremes of professional glory and personal darkness. Much has been written about Kai Greene, and posted online, but rarely has the treatment done justice to one of the greatest bodybuilders of our time.

Sitting down with Kai Greene, and getting to know the man behind the power and his passion, is a job worthy of an equally legendary man— bodybuilding’s premier historian, Peter McGough. “This Is Who I Am,” Peter’s exclusive and raw interview, explores Kai Greene’s journey from childhood to Arnold, to his confrontation with Phil Heath, and the events that molded him into a modern-day legend.

Speaking of the reigning five-time Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath, he has massive delts and arms that are simply at a level most of his fellow pros can only dream of. Like Phil, Roelly Winklaar has huge, round, delts that literally set him apart from the rest of the pros. In “Dutch Demolition Man! Roelly ‘The Beast’ Winklaar Blasts His Massive Delts.” Roelly gives us his tips for building the boulder shoulders that have earned him his moniker.

Dallas McCarver and Matt Jensen are two hardworking young Southerners who represent a new generation of bodybuilders rising in the industry. In “Killer Collaboration! Dallas McCarver and Matt Jansen Prep for the Chicago Pro.” MD’s Ron Harris talks with them to learn more about their methods and their mental approach to becoming a better pro bodybuilder. One rule, as Dallas put it: “Bust your ass and lift heavy, every day. Every time we set foot in the weight room, that’s the goal.”

In the June issue of MD, we went back over the last decade and shared 50 training tips from a wide range of pro bodybuilders who have all been part of Team MD. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and there were inquiries as to whether we could possibly do the same thing with nutrition tips. Since nutrition is equally if not more critical toward your ultimate success in reaching your personal physique goals, we would be remiss if we didn’t. In “50 Nutrition Secrets of the Pros.” Ron Harris serves up a veritable smorgasbord of nutritional knowledge, straight from some of the best bodybuilders in the sport, past and present.

I'm a long time bodybuilding fan , BUT, I'm no fan of Kai .

    1. He acts like a total space cadet in BB interviews.

    2. His guest posing outfits are weird , S&M attire.

    3. He's refusing to compete in the Olympia for the 2nd year in a row .

note - * 1,2,3 are all his choice and these choices are an embarrassment to bodybuilding.

I'm a huge Kai fan. The fact he is different is refreshing. That being said the magazine is getting smaller each month. This one was 142 pages and Flex is bimonthly now. Sad to say but mags are on their way out. Old men like me are the minority. Kids now have zero desire to read mags.

Muscular development; Flex magazine and muscle media 2000 used to keep me busy and get me through to the next editions. Those days unfortunately are long gone.
