Yeah...We are never seeing this again. It was literally a competition of an alien vs men for 8 consecutive years.

    So the arc went:

    Haney, to...

    Dorian, to...

    Ronnie, to...

Cutler (already a step back IMO, but I can see the allure), to...

    Heath.

But no, bodybuilding is alive and kicking, and Heath is far more dominant than we all realize, and we'll all look back someday in retrospect and sing his praises.

Not buying it, sorry. Please demote the little man this year, for the love of god.

Lmao I can see your point bro, but honestly Ronnie was the apex. We will never ever EVER see anyone who will match him so bodybuilding was always going to take a step back, he is a once in a century kind of man.

There truly are no appropriate words for what Ronnie was. Just insane.

I agree gents for the combination of size & mass

buy Haney not only retired at 31 omg
he had great shoulders , a tiny waist , and symmetry at 243 lbs, Ronnie didn't

I respect your opinions but we can agree to disagree

Each was the pinnacle of his own respective physique type. You can debate Ferrari vs. Porsche, but it makes no sense to debate Ferrari vs. a tank-- each is awesome in its own way. Even Arnold in his original encyclopedia talked about "Apollonian physiques" vs. "Herculean physiques". They were both amazing for their own accomplishments.

My only major point, is that it climbed and then regressed, in a fairly linear fashion (bigger, harder, freakier by the year from Haney to Yates to Ronnie), and now we're stuck with taking such a large step back. Just kinda' blows.

Haney was great, but his competition was weaker. And in the drug test O edition, he looked quite worse than Labrada and Ray.
