Default Next MD Cover - 5 Time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath

Joe Weider’s Olympia, the most prestigious contest in the bodybuilding universe, takes place on September 16th and 17th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Mr. Olympia title represents the pinnacle of achievement in the sport of bodybuilding. Beginning in 1965, one man was chosen to represent the absolute best in muscular development in the entire world. The 52nd staging of what has grown to become an all-encompassing fitness and performance weekend will be the setting for Phil Heath to attempt to take possession of his sixth Sandow. Will the reigning Mr. Olympia experience the joy of six, or will a new king of bodybuilding be crowned?

Phil Heath, Denver’s most muscular resident, is so good that he can beat his rivals even when he’s not at his best. But is there anyone who can possibly beat Phil this year? Bodybuilding historian Peter McGough, who knows the bodybuilding industry better than anyone, gives MD readers an exclusive preview of this year’s contest called “Judgement in Vegas.” It’s the most comprehensive Olympia preview you’ll find in any bodybuilding magazine, with a review of the entire 2016 Mr. Olympia lineup. Follow our coverage at musculardevelopment.com as we get closer to the contest.

With the Mr. Olympia just around the corner, MD pays tribute to the event and its legendary champions with our special Olympia Issue. In “50 Training Secrets of the Mr. Olympia Champions,” Ron Harris gives us 50 excellent training tips from six Mr. Olympia champions with a total of 34 Olympia titles between them. Take their combined wisdom and use it to forge your own destiny in iron and muscle!

Bodybuilders around the world, seeking to improve their own physiques and aspiring to greatness, look to Mr. Olympia champions and legends of the past as role models on how to build their own bodies and bring them closer and closer to perfection. But not everyone is prepared to step on an Olympia stage, and we all have to start somewhere. Are you ready to get bigger and stronger in the next 90 days, and make more gains than you probably have in the last year or two, maybe more? If the answer is yes, check out“Get Big and Strong!Your 90-day Total Program for Mass and Power.”

Three-time Ms. Olympia Bikini and IFBB Pro Ashley Kaltwasser is one of the fittest women on the planet, and her appearance in the April 2016 issue of Muscular Development created such a testosterone tremor with our readers that we brought Ashley back again for this month’s Major Distraction called, “Ashley’s Other Secret.” Ashley will be competing to defend her title at this year’s Olympia. One look at the photos of Ashley in this month’s MD, and the judging becomes easy— it’s impossible to take your eyes off her.

Muscular Development is your number-one source for building muscle, and for the latest research and best science to enable you to train smart and effectively. Our team of physicians, industry experts and research scientists has these reports on improving performance this month:

Why would you say such a thing? Phil deserved and earned his victory. Nobody came close to matching him onstage.

Phil wiped the floor with the competition this year. Up there with his best Olympia look to date. Nice to see him get the cover!
