    You start in a sort of half-curl position at your sides and you raise your arms like a full old school lateral raise until dumbbells almost above your head, you start with a supine position and turn your wrist into pronation as the dumbbells go up

    I was adding an actual lateral raise to the movement - which is not what Grandma had Roelly and her other athletes doing. I think they just start every rep from shoulder level. I don't think my way is worse, it might be more productive.

    It's probably more productive, and furthermore, what you're doing is way more rotator cuff friendly!

    I still want to have Grandma put me through a workout one day, her and Charles Glass. They both have a lot of tricks up their sleeves in the weight room.
