Even if he did the USA or the Nationals that year (2006) he would have got beat by Desmond Miller and Omar Deckard!!! Trey really had week lats in the FDB. My guess is he got burned out quick. Funny how some guys look worse the more they compete, i.e., Omar Deckard! Wolf too!! And guys like Heath only got better!!

I respect the guy for competing, doing well, and leaving when he knew it wasn't the best idea for him anymore. He gets a lot of flak for not living up to everyone ELSE'S hype, but he never pretended he would be the next Mr. O, to my knowledge

I was at the 2005 Georgia...he looked like the next coming as a teenager. Too much too fast too soon.

I believe Ed Nunn was already in his late 30s/early 40s when he hit his stride. I think he was smart to get out once he realized he got the shaft at a couple shows. IFBB judges have their favorites, and you won't surpass them if you don't train at certain gyms or kiss certain ass. So at that level, there's not much point in continuing

He could have dedicated to compete in powerlifting, according to the interview numbers, and he was very strong. Or the strongman.

But he had to make a lot of money, the media and the industry shot him to the top ahead of time.

To compete in the Nationals you must get your pass. Because he could compete in 2008 without having made any previous shows in this session?

I do not quite understand how privileges work in the NPC.

I think the top 5 at Jr Nats qualified him.

    Thanks!

And top 5 at Nationals qualifiers directly for next year? As in the Olympia?

Trey's problem was trying to live up to public expectation. He bloated way too much while bulking off-season. He pushed the size game until it became apparent that he may have been suffering from early stages of Palumboism. There's no turning back from that.
