It's hard to say/choose, it varies for decades, even if they have different physical types.
Sergio, Arnold, Nubret, Zane and Robby in the 70s,.. Haney, Makkawy, Beckles, Samir, Labrada in the 80s... Flex , Ray , Levrone and Coleman (98-99 version is really great). After the Coleman's era, I have no favorites

It is strange for me ( and sad) how Sergio Oliva is not among the favorites of other recent bodybuilders or former. I do not mention the color of the skin. It's not just about that incredible genetics, the massiveness over its time, the fact that it was a victim of those times but it became clear number one and a hope for black bodybuilders to repeat its performances. To not mention that he dominated the pro competitions from the late 60's to the early 80's... IFBB, WBBG or WABBA

Sergio was indeed very impressive(prior to when his wife Arlene shot him in the Arm with his Service Revolver). After that he never ever looked thd same both in condition or those exessive proportions. Most always referance photos prior to that Violent Act,where at prior points in time was outer worldy massive and unreal.By then declined beyond all imagination thus arguably removes him from said discussion does it not ? (Arnold used to joke-"French Fries and Ketchup Anyone" and Sergio would be seen eating post prejudging),Lol!

IMG_7309.jpg Gotta include this guy in the mix or move him near top of a favorite list indeed, perhaps and not just because of proper theater stage lighting.Sheesh now days shows sometimes are not even in theaters, thus improper lighting but here is an all time physique me friends...(and nowdays why do they Grimace when they pose ?)Posing is about relaxing and flowing with your transitions for the battles were in the gym and at the training table my friends not at the show).

Neither picked Charles Clairmonte!!?? If that cat just took his physique to the next level, he could of been 2nd to Yates in every Olympia. The guy got no respect!! And we all know it was because he was in the NABBA before the IFBB. He had the height, the shape, the condition and could pose well too!!! The only knock on his physiques was that his back could have been a bit thicker, but other than that, he was pretty near perfect!!!!
