Yes I believe Shawn ray is doing the classic in 2018 ...Just like I predicted 1 month ago ...This will be great -
Ray has the full support of m.d ,,,Olympia 2018 here we come
A white Toney Freeman would have 10 Olympias. If I could look like anyone I'd want to look like a prime Toney Freeman

    It's not insulting

I am coming back .... To the Gym.
I resemble a MPD more than a BBer but simply going back to the gym does not make one a Competitor.

I'll go back slow n easy to get past the soreness phase then work on my general fitness & health.

Comeback to the Stage, hardly ✌🏽

Walking on that beautiful beach is great exercise. As a once college football player/powerlifter I have found mixing it up helps a lot.

    Just keep the body moving.

Kind of funny how "some" city folk find the beach as a nice serene place. While the sound of waves is nice the sand is a dirty gritty mess and by the time yas get back to your car and or room your trackin it all with ya foot wash or not,I'd rather sit by the pool listen to the tides rather than roll in the grit, lol.Don't give em a thought Shawn for you are forever a champion to us all and while we are all delt different cards and recieved different gifts wouldn't it be cool if you was rockin your dad's old hair style,so won't look for yas at the Barber Chop but aside from that revel in your happiness enjoy your wife, kids and great family and may the fruits of your decades of hard work find you...

    UNLEASHED?!

As soon as I saw the topic I was intrigued but super skeptical because Shawn just doesn't like to address the drug use. He can talk diet, genetics and training all day but rarely engages in the reality of the key role that steroids (HGH, diuretics, etc) played in his professional bodybuilding career. Acknowledgement doesn't mean endorsement, but educating bodybuilding fans on the reality of life post cycling might actually better serve Shawn's preferred minimalist message. I think most lifters can be fit into two broad groups, those that would use steroids and those would not. The ones who wouldn't don't need convincing. Those who would, will or have and are going to do it anyway and they need to know what to expect and how to avoid ruining their health in the long run. Shawn is an perfect role model for the latter group. How long did he take to get off the gear? Does he require TRT? Any short or long term side-effects? What were the positive things he observed after getting off?

Shawn stopped competitive bodybuilding over a decade ago, not 11 months. We all know everything we need to know about taking breaks from the gym or dieting and enjoying friends, family and the beach. I do it every weekend. It is great that Shawn may not miss the stage or his prime physique but we have all the evidence we need in Arnold, Lou, Dex, Ronnie, and especially now Kevin and Flex that it can be hard truly leaving behind being a competitive bodybuilder. More on how he navigated retirement psychologically would be great. When did he know it was over? How long before he really accepted it? Does he really not miss anything about it at all ever?

Man that beach looks amazing! Shawn is at his best when he speaks about real life and how there is more to life than bodybuilding! Shawn is a great example of someone who is over competitive bodybuilding and has made a seamless transition into family life! I hope to have another lunch with Shawn May 20th at NY Pro!

I seriously wish I could take some time off, as I'd love to slow my daily life down, but I actually feel worse when I take time off. I get to about a 2 week point and that's about it. The gym is a major stress release to me.
I stop me....no one else does.

It's good advice, the sort of advice more guys should take. Bodybuilding is so hardcore it can be difficult to strike a balance in life while competing
